2026-27 Japanese Pairs and Ice Dance

I am so happy Utana and Masaya have worked on their RD, because the first version they debuted didn't really work for me. I still don't love this program, but the music edit is certainly much more cohesive now. I am so excited for Japanese ice dance this season! There are so many good and exciting teams, all of whom have different strengths and styles! Now, we just need a few more pairs teams... poor Yuna

I'm also so excited for your dancers - they are a breath of fresh air for dance. May Yuna have a smooth recovery from her accident. They were on such a roll and now have to take a step back for her to recover completely.

What have they done now?

The self-imposed limits/selection are slightly ridiculous when they’re the host nation and could give many more teams a chance for international competition exposure. But on the other hand, it’s not like I was expecting anything else from JFed.

Artificial limits on entries to Kinoshita Cup? I was pessimistic after what they did last year but it's a shame.
