2026 ISU International Adult Competition - Oberstdorf | May 17-22

Katherine NOBLE (GBR) wearing a purple top with a smaller black top over it, a black skirt, and purple stockings.

Skating to "No More the Fool" by Elkie Brooks.

Never seen anybody skating to this song before, but it worked.

She goes into 16th position.

Back-to-back British skaters. Alexandra BOLTON (GBR) was wearing a dress that was mainly black, but the left shoulder and sleeve was white.

It was a Cruella de Vil programme.

She was good.

And I was so busy trying to get a good look at the pattern on the light section of the dress that I completely missed the scores.

Stefany LEONET (FRA)'s programme was a rather more conventional than the last French skater.

She was wearing a black jumpsuit, and skating to music that I think was from "The Matrix". (I haven't seen it).

She was good.

She goes into 3rd position.

For a second I thought we were getting another taste of "Mickey". But it was actually "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift.

Ellie HUNTINGTON (GBR) is wearing a red dress with silver pattern.

She was really getting into it! And there were some cheeky moves in there that you wouldn't get away with in an elite competition!

That was fun!

She goes into 8th position.

Iris STÜSSI (CHE) also wearing a red dress, but this time the silver is the trim rather than a pattern.

Skating to "Where Is My Husband?" by Raye.

Don't think I've seen that skated to before, but it certainly made a fun programme here!

She goes into 14th position.

She's happy.

We finish the Silver ladies with Katherine CREEK (GBR) wearing a very baggy light grey sweatshirt, black shorts and black socks.

Skating to "What A Feeling" by Irene Cara.

This is another song that I wish was skated to more often.

When the programme ended, I was disappointed. I wanted more of it!

I really enjoyed that. A good note to finish on.

She finishes in 15th poistion.

And to end Day 2, we stay with the Class II ladies, but move from Silver level to Gold level. Just the 6 of them.

We start with Stephanie LAURENCON (FRA) wearing the most stereotypically French costume I have seen in years.

Skating to accordian instrumental versions of Édith Piaf songs. And then we finished with Offenbach's "Orpheus In The Underworld".

It was just so French!

Verena SCHNEIDER (DEU) wearing a pink corset and black skirt.

It was a "Burlesque" programme, but not one of the songs that is normally skated to. She was skating to "I Am A Good Girl" by Christina Aguilera.

I enjoyed that.

She goes into 2nd position.

Suzanne HERRMANN (USA) is wearing a black dress with tassles.

She was skating to a female version of "Fever", but it wasn't the Peggy Lee version I am familiar with.

Not a bad skate.

She goes into 3rd position.

CaroLiza_fan

Now for the skater I am most familiar with. Lulu ALEXANDRA (GBR) is wearing a fluorescent pink dress.

Skating to "Dancing Fool". But it didn't sound anything like Barry Manilow.

That was fun.

She goes into 2nd position.

She's happy!

And we finish the day with our first "Carmen" programme of the day.

Ginta MUCENIECE (EST) is wearing a dress that looks like a black top and orange skirt. And orange gloves.

And it was a good skate to finish the day.

She wins.

And she can't believe it.

Ah, I forget to press "Post reply". Here is what I wrote:

Right, I'm going to leave now, because I am wrecked. So, apologies if they stay on air for the Podium Ceremonies.

I've just come back in, and they did stay on air. But, it is going to take a while to get through, as they bring out EVERYBODY and give them ALL medals. So, I'm going to close it for the night.

See you tomorrow.

What a beautiful programme from LI Ka Ki Ancorra (HKG) to get us underway.

She was wearing a light blue and white dress. But it was not one of those ones that blends into the ice.

Didn't know the song, but it was beautiful too.

And so was the skating.

CaroLiza_fan

Sabine SITTIG (DEU) wearing a beautiful dress where the top half is dark blue and the bottom half is light blue.

As for the song, the first half with the female singer was beautiful, but the second half with the male singer got a bit strange.

Awww. As well as the rest of her entourage, she has two toddlers with her.

And the stream has just frozen on me.

CaroLiza_fan

Kamila LEWCZUK (POL) wearing a dress that is mainly dark purple, but has a broad lighter purple stripe across the middle.

Skating to a trailerised female version of Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me A River".

Not bad.

Looks like the entire Polish team is with her!

She goes into 3rd position.

CaroLiza_fan

Katia WISNIEWSKA (LUX) wearing a dress that is light blue at the shoulders and at the end of the skirt part, and black in between.

Skating to "Clair De Lune". Oh, how I love that music.

She was taking it very canny. But it was beautiful.

She goes into 4th position.

They are happy.

CaroLiza_fan

Maria NAGLER (DEU) is wearing a dress in the same colours as the skater befoere her. The difference is that in this one, the light blue is around the shoulders and extending down the back. And it is just black below that.

I love the music. But, I don't envy the violin player. They were playing so fast!

That was a good programme.

She only has one lady sitting with her.

But she goes into the lead.

They have a big hug.

CaroLiza_fan

Olè! 💃

Hang on, the dress may be Olè, but the music isn't!

Svetlana HANENKO (EST) is wearing a red and black dress that screams "Olè", and has a red flower in her hair.

BUT, the music sounds more Jewish than Spanish.

Confusion aside, I enjoyed that.

She goes into 4th position.
