2026 JGP Xi'an Men's Short Program

The stream didn't work yesterday. I just woke up, and the stream is working, but skips straight to the end of Okazaki's skate. Bypassing Yanghao -- which really sucks.

it was terrible.
I believe that they created another stream because the first one wasn't working and freezing...so we lost Li Yanhao indeed.

Oh, well, I get to see Sheiko's toughest skate since forever instead. Chinese really should get their act together with the streaming. Maybe ask their qq underground for help...

Ebihara waltzing more than two warm up groups of ice dancers who are supposed to waltz... smthg. Weird tumble.

Oh, the new competitor from Korea is an interesting prospect & that shade of gray-green really works in a costume. Well done! Loved the skate!

I already peeked into the scores, of course, but still had my heart in my throat for the Young Lion there. He seemed nervous, no wonder, but did well. Changing his final position to perfect is so him, heh.

Another really promising young contender, this one from China, super charismatic from the get go. Well done!

I read that one of Patrick’s programs used music picked for his friend and training mate, Spencer Lane. He wanted to skate the tribute program again, perhaps because he did not do it justice the first time. Maybe it was too hard, too soon. We are watching a young man still processing the loss of a close friend who he looked up to. No wonder he may be struggling. Spencer was briefly a member here at Golden Skate - a charming young man full of dreams unfinished.

Let’s be the kind of humans who give grace and compassion to Patrick as his journey continues. I can recall Rudy Galindo struggling the same way after the loss of his father and brother to AiDS. Sometimes these rough waters give us the best diamonds and other times point the way to stop carrying someone else’s dreams.

Patrick if you see this, know that we want you to find your way through this wherever it takes you.
Maybe as the eclipse passes, his fortunes will rise again.

Still look forward to his FS.. heard he was competing in senior events as well. I just get the feeling, with his drive and energy, he
SO much wants to be there but maybe I’m wrong about that. 😯

The stream sucks but see post #76 if you or someone else missed Yanhao's skate.

@Ichatdelune recorded Yanhao from the Korean stream

Always cheering for him. He was great! What a future
