How can something be a waltz if it isn't in 3/4? 6/8 cannot be a waltz because it is compound time and ends up as equivalent to 2 beats in a bar. I suppose 9/8 would maybe work...

well.. ask the ISU because they seem to like compound meter... if I recall correctly there was a RD that was in 12/8 at some point and then in 4/4 ... so the whole waltz program was in 4 beats all the way through

Alex was such a bright light - I hate to see that others just see her as a tragedy and not the beauty of her creations. If you want to honor her - take inspiration from her work.
