Oh dear.

This skate from Ellie KAM / Danny O'SHEA (USA) was not the note I wanted to leave for the night on.

I blame the bad covers they were skating to.

But, they fought through it.

Ellie is devastated. Danny is trying to keep her spirits up.

That is a good partner.

They go into 6th position in the FS, and 3rd position overall.

Unfortunately not the stellar skate they had at the Team Event, but it is indeed really really hard to replicate a performance like that...
Still kudos to Ellie for landing that 2nd throw beautifully after falling 2 times before that, very well done

They should leave the Olympics with their head held high, they've done everything they can

They did really fight for and salvage the ending.

Yes he never even had a hope for going Olympics with other partners, and now he has got a gold. So I imagine even tho she messed up he has a lot to be greatful for.
