The disgusting +2Axel+2Axel sequence strikes again. One of the reasons why this is the worst quadrennial ever for pairs skating. Get rid of it. Never again should this be seen in programs.

I totally agree with you! On the performance of the day, they were stronger, more emotional, and more energetic than S-D/D who were very cautious throughout and received 8s. C/H for sure deserved 8s as well; this is just more proof that PCS are not judged according to ISU rules.

Beautiful program but they weren’t at their best. I don't think it's enough to take the lead but it might be close, their skating skills are very lovely.

All the more reasons to do the TE after the individual events, like there probably is a correlation to Miniki not doing the TE and Miniki winning the SP

C/M did about everything they could to get closer to the medal podium. She struggled on the 2A in the sequence and they both decided not to go for the 2nd A. She was also pitched forward on the landing of the throw 3loop. Throw 3Salchow also a struggle, pitched forward and both hands go down. What a shame these two couldn’t reproduce their GPF skates, but after her injury and missing Europeans, it’s a victory for them to be healthy enough to achieve what they did. They should be proud!
