The Japanese will likely win the long program and a silver medal. I'm guessing the Germans will go mostly clean and hang on for 1st overall.

I don't think that's happening. The Germans have never cleared 150, and their LP is nowhere nearly as strong as the Japanese's FS. Even with the 7 point lead, that'll not be sufficient enough for a lights out M/K.

Reminds me of our 17-year-old snowboarder Choi Gaon, her idol is Chloe Kim and she surpassed her to win at her first Olympics a gold medal

Miniki will need to beat their free skate PB to get the gold. Unlikely but the judges today have been pretty generous so there's a chance. But right now M/K are big favorites for the gold.

I think his music choice was a tribute to one of the most successful Kazakh singers.

This was excellent, but 158 is a bit too high. And they got too much points for the SP. Judges clearly want them to win.
