I agree with commentators, they looked a bit slower and tighter than usually but I think all teams so far looked a bit tight and cautious.

I love Piper and Paul, but this isn't my favourite programme of their's. (That would be "Vincent").

But I put Canada 3rd in my Team Predictions to make sure they get a medal if they don't manage it in the main competition. (I alsothrew all caution to the wind and put them down to win the main competition...)

I find this problem gets worse at the Olympics. I guess they know a bunch of non figure skating fans will be watching and sacrifice showing the technical footwork for emotional face close ups.
