2027 US Nats; 2026 Skate America locations announced

FYI - the Marriott Courtyard is sold out (since yesterday) I wonder if it will be the official hotel. I was able to make reservations at the Delta (which was the official hotel in 2018) and the Hampton Inn (with free breakfast and lower rates) then will decide which one I would rather stay at. Bought my return flight (red eye) with Alaska travel credit. Will keep looking for reasonable price for flight to Seattle. It's still a long way and anything can happen but I am hopeful that I will be able to go. All event ticket prices are pretty high aren't they I don't remember skate america tickets being that expensive before.
Good luck on cheep flights. For reference, 2023 Four Conts was $358. Inflation is hitting everything but TicketMaster is under investigation/settled for now on raising prices artificially. For Four conts, I went right to the Arena to buy tickets, so TicketMaster wasnt involved. This time, Ticketmaster will be involved. I still suspect that the difference between the $400 ticket and the $600 ticket is some sort of VIP treatment...special lounge, Brian Boitano lounge, meet the skaters, etc. But have not been told that. I was told by my spy network inside USFS to expect an email ref the actual sale date of the tickets being changed. Or not.

I remember how in awe I was with Marin's glides - as smooth as butter
nguyhm, If you can believe this, I have chapter 5 on my DVR at home dedicated to her 2018 GP France FS. "House of Flying Daggers" Where she did a season best. It wasnt perfect but it was beautiful. 😍 Not sure Raf was the best coach for her but I hope YOU KNOW WHO takes good care of her. And hope to see lots of Japanese and other Asian skaters at SA. Hope you are well and doing fine!

I want to say 25 minutes.
Ouch. For me, when I spend all that money to go to an event, I like to see the Srs and Jrs in the same venue and have the practice rink on site. Gone are the days when you could watch the Novice, Jr and Sr from one seat. I like a close hotel and eateries....Before the first Greensboro, the promoter would show up at events and ask us as fans what WE wanted. I had no problem with the town or the venue and hotels and the shuttle there.

I am certain that my little legend is taking good care of Marin. No concrete evidence, just a very good feeling...

But back to the topic at hand-- I am actually most interested in attending Skate America, but as usual, I will wait for GP assignments to come out before determining whether or not to go. There are also certain personal circumstances that may affect my ability to attend. One thing is certain: I will not be wearing my bunny hat.

Thank you @CoyoteChris hope you're doing well too! Looking forward to SA - would love to see Jia Shin and Yuna Aoki (she was in Allen in 2024) 🤞among others.

Actually, there are too many skaters I want to see from Korea, Japan, and China...but I will be happy with whoever they send...such a deep field. Never went to a SA I didnt like....2018

Fair enough! I wont post a pic of that hat as I dont post pics of anyone save PaulE. But it was a cool hat....
I hope she is happy and the Legend still follows her on FB

@CoyoteChris will you make your way west to Skate America? (I know it's just the same state, not the same area. We get that with Philadelphia and Pittsburgh :) )
Pittsburgh native here: tell me about it!

When I moved to NYC for grad school, people often said "it's nice that you're just a short train ride away from home." Uh...not quite. And don't talk to us Steelers fans about the Eagles...

^ Interesting that Minerva Fabienne Hase and Annika Hocke were both there in 2018 with previous partners too. 😊
Partner swapping is epidemic in the skating world. Sometimes it is a mutual agreement that partnerships should end...sometimes, people get hurt. I will refrain from disclosing those I know about but partnerships are kind of like a marriage. It is sad to see partners we know and love separate for any reason.

I find each area I travel to can be researched to some extent but there is no intel like being there once. I about tossed my cookies when I heard the words "Omaha" "Milwawkee" and "Kansas City" but I had enjoyable times there.
Walking the streets on google street view is pretty much what you are going to get in Everett. For me, I look for safe areas to walk, nearby food, and ease of getting there. You will have no worries with personal safety there any more than any other town....and it is more like a town than a big city with skyscrappers. Perhaps PaulE can add some things about Everett but in 2018 there was no street people issues. Cant say about now. I had no issues with the arena.

USFS Skate America webpage is now saying "All-session tickets for Skate America will go on sale in the spring of 2026."

Very odd. I got an email last week (Since I am FOFS) outlining the sales procedure starting with earlybird FOFS members this Tuesday.
Then I got a cryptic email from a contact in USFS that said she learned "2 min. ago" there was an issue with ticket sales. No email today so far as to changes. Not the way to treat your donors. I emailed the big Kahunah ref events to get a clarification. (odd statement about Spring of 26...we are there according to my calander?)

OK, we finally got the email....Nationals tickets go on sale tomorrow...NOT SA tickets. :(
It looks like at Nats you are allowed 2 in extra padding in your folding chair for paying P1A prices....
NO bringing in seat cushions....even if you have a medical need like I do. I am tempted to go with my medical seat cushion and dare them to not let me bring it in, have it filmed, then go find a lawyer...🤬 The heck with them and their folding chairs for $1500.

Are you a FOFS, or just on the email list? I registered for the email list, but haven't gotten a confirmation email many hours later. They said it may take 24 hours????? Do they use an army of typing gnomes instead of automation?
