Nick Cave to Nino Rota. Never thought I would write those words.
But, it actually worked well. Probably helped by the programme and film the songs are used in, "Peaky Blinders" and "The Godfather", having similar subject matter.
Nice to see Charlton DOHERTY (AUS) supporting one of his fellow countrymen. (Still curious to know if Nick Cave has any connections to my part of the world. Like, why else would he sing about a "Red Right Hand"?
)

"Hungarian Rhapsody"? More like "Bohemian Rhapsody"!
I know it wasn't. But when you have Adrián JIMÉNEZ DE BALDOMERO (ESP) skating to Queen, but his ISU Bio is still saying he is skating to Liszt, it was too good an opportunity to pass up!
Don't think I've ever seen somebody skate to that particular song. But it worked. Really well, in fact.
He goes into 2nd in the FS, and the lead overall.

It's girls for the rest of the day. Seniors, followed by Junior B, followed by the Adult skaters.
But I am leaving now to eat. And I probably won't be back.

I was just writing the same, you are always firstOlivia won and she just got the Worlds mins!
. I checked, she is now 2nd at the list of two best scores (for worlds they allow any international competition from the second half) and less than 1 point after Janna on the list 
. This is interesting - and there are still other skaters. My only wish is who ever will get the spot, she will be in the top 24 to earn the Olympic spot.

That me reminds of, that Mias little sister Ella is doing the interclub event tomorrow in advance novice girls 2008-2011 group. Hopefully she got plenty of inspiration from her big sister today

And to finish the day, we have the Adult skaters. Although there are four competitions, there is only one entry in each competition. So they are all coming out in one group.

Drat! I forgot about the 12 hour limit. Yesterday's stream did survive, but it cuts off during the first programme of Junior Ladies B, from Thea SORHUUS (NOR). So, we miss most of Junior Ladies B, and all the Adult Skaters.

It took me too long to get all the preparation work done, so I am going to have to pause the stream and delay the start to have my breakfast. And then play catch-up.

Major music issues for the penultimate Junior B girl, Luka UNDŽYTĖ (LTU)
She got into position, and the music started. And she just stood there for a while. The music was very quiet, so I wasn't sure if she could actually hear it. But eventually she came out of position.
She went to the boards, and started talking to some guy. And then he went and talked to a lady out of camera shot. The microphones were catching them talking, but couldn't make out what was being said.
Meanwhile, Luka went to talk to some people in the audience (I assume her family). And she put on a coat.
After a very long wait (it must have been about 5 minutes), she was called again.
Now I know what the problem was! It was completely the wrong music. This is a LOT more lively than what they played originally.
SHAKIRA!!!!
Despite the drama, she was actually really good.
She went into 2nd position.

The penultimate Cubs B girl, Skater #18, was skating to a female cover of "Eye Of The Tiger".
But, it was so funny just after she and her coach sat down to wait for her results. Two other wee girls cam charging through the camera shot, and stood beside her (although, only one of them managed to stay within camera shot).
She went into 12th position.

I am even further behind (32m) than I was earlier, because of getting washed. But, I just wanted to say that I loved that Skater #15 in the Basic Novice 2013 And Younger Ladies FS skated to heavy metal music! 
Don't know what the music was, but she was wearing one of those "Daddy's Little Monster" costumes.
She went into 2nd position.
And flicking over to the LIVE pictures, I think that is her sister currently waiting for her scores! Put it like this - they are so alike that I would put money on them being twins!

Aha! I just realised something. Although I only ended up having one kid competing here, there were two skaters in the Basic Novice 2013 And Younger Ladies FS that I have long been convinced are related to two of my other kids.
Oh, and both of them are the absolute picture of the relevant kid of mine! Admittedly, both of my kids are from St. Petersburg. But that's not too far away in the greater scheme of things.
Oh no. I just watched the Estonian girl I am referring to, and she was crying while waiting for her scores.
