I know there's not much time between Rostelecom and NHK for her to work on and suddenly improve her weaknesses (such as the spins) dramatically, so just hoping she maintains the same level of consistency and speed leading up to NHK. Good luck Yura!

I personally like both Yura's programs for this season. Hope, she will improve her weaknesses to Japan Nationals.

So here we go - the second ISU GP for Yura in her first senior international season fnd it's her home GP. Good luck to her and may she perform both programs without UR's ) :hap10:

At least Yura's not skating immediately after Karen Chen who imo is a fantastic spinner with beautiful edge work and could overshadow Yura in those two areas in judges eyes if skating immediately before Yura. I hope she will land the 3Lo+3Lo clean this time. Ladies at NHK is quite a deep field, so I know it's not easy but if she could place better here than at Rostelecom (and better than, for instance, Tursynbaeva who scored approx. 4 points higher than Yura at Rostelecom) it will surely boost her confidence. Good luck to her!

I hope too... And I hope her 2A-3T-3Lo combo will be without UR's... Because it seems to me - if she does this it will impove her confidence...

That 3Lo is a tough one to do without UR. It must take a lot of strength.

What was interesting today was the 3Lo+3Lo was called UR but on the first 3Lo and not on the second 3Lo. And yes, she visibly made a conscious effort to taking off higher on the second 3Lo to have enough rotation, which I'm guessing made her somewhat "weaken" the first jump as she saved her energy on the first 3Lo, but that's just my layman's guess.

I watched her 3F< today in slo-mo and I think what I was seeing is her takeoff on the outside edge. But I've observed she flutzes too. So I just watched her 3F's in other competitions and it appears that when her 3F didn't receive ! she switched from the outside to the inside just barely right before the takeoff, but today she didn't manage to switch to the inside (to my eyes at least) despite not receiving ! or e.

It's a pity she's prone to UR calls as I love her skating, but I hope her coaches work on making her jump higher.

I concur.
