So I guess my question is... is there difference in the fit between the Elles and the Debuts?
Anyone have similar issues, or advice?
Depends on the vintage. If you have an Elle Fusion and a recent Debut Fusion, the fit should be the same (both based on the Jackson Elite last; this is stock split width, with the heel narrower than the toe). The older (non-Fusion) Elle and the original Debut Fusion (several years ago now) had different lasts.

Regardless, your fitter should have taken a series of measurements and tracings of your feet to determine the proper size for each boot.

I believe they are both newer versions.. fitter was going to ask if they had any old debuts in stock still, because I’m not a huge fan of the duraguard patent part on the front, but the new one (model FS 2450) ended up coming in.
So maybe I’m just somewhere in between their regular and wide sizes?
He measured with something similar to a brannock device.
Yeah, if he measured with one of those he hasn't been doing this properly for years.
You probably shouldn't be in either of those boots and the size is more than likely not right. Sounds to me like you need a split width boot.

Ic3Rabbit Would it be ok if I PM you?

A Brannock device is insufficient; e.g, it doesn't measure heel width. When I was fitted for Jacksons, the fitter had a specific Jackson measurement sheet listing the measurements to be taken. He also took two sets of tracings: one with me standing, one with me sitting.
