The 2023 Tallinn Trophy will take place Nov 21-23, 2023, in Tallinn, Estonia. The event will feature the Singles (Women and Men) discipline in the Junior and Senior categories and will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules for Single & Pair Skating and relevant ISU Communications.

Interesting to note that there are Synchro and Solo Dance competitions on the bill.

I wonder what "Synchronized Skating Mixed" is. Is it that the club does not have enough skaters at the same level, so they have put together a team that is made up of skaters at different levels? And that this competition has been created to cater for teams like that. Seems like a good idea if it is.

I have to laugh, thought, at how the Solo Dance tables are laid out. Here's the Junior entry list table as an example:

Who is this Solo DANCE (EST) bloke? Whoever he is, he is going to have a very busy couple of days because he is skating with every girl at every level!

As a final note, I see my kid Oliviia is doing the double again, competing at both Cubs A level and the younger Basic Novice level. And both competitions are being held on the same day. Well, the younger Basic Novice competition starts 6 hours after the Cubs A competition finishes, so plenty of time in between.

I think the scheduling is designed to be more friendly for the kids in the Non-ISU part of the event, so that they don't have to take more days off school than necessary.

But, yeah, it doesn't work out great for those that want to watch the Juniors and Seniors but have other real-life commitments.

It's so hard to strike the right balance between these two conflicting things when you want to include competitions for as many categories and levels as possible in your schedule. The organisers really are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

It's awful, but I can't find out who are competing. my providor won't let me go onto the site with entrees because the connection isn't private enough. It's only the entrees, I can get on the official site and the stream. Trying to get on the entrees list via the official site also doesn't work (same thing). Strange, but if somebody could post the jr and sr lists of the ISU competition, it would be much appreciated!

Just noticed that Emmi Peltonen was not in the Start Order. So the only Peltonen here is Minja, who we just saw.

It's so long since I last saw her, I couldn't remember what she looked like!

Now we have a skater who has been around for a long time. Angelīna Kučvaļska (LAT).

Hope she is in better form than she has been in recent years. It has been heartbreaking seeing her as a shadow of her former self.

Ah, I didn't notice that last week. The NRW Trophy was Ashley COLLIVER's first international competition in 4 years! (Her previous outing was the Asian Open in November 2019)

She didn't do so badly today! It was only her absolute Personal Best score for the SP by a pretty big margin!



She couldn't believe it when 40.06 was announced. She was absolutely delighted!!!

OK, so she goes into last position. But, that doesn't matter!

"Oops, I Did It Again" playing in the arena during the Group 1 Warm-Up.

That's appropriate. Yesterday, I was was singing "Hit Me Baby One More Time" in the shower. And last night, I was listening to Britney's sister crying in the jungle.

Just to explain, my Dad was watching "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!" while I was working on the computer. Jamie-Lynn Spears is one of the campmates. And honestly, she shouldn't be there. Because she can't cope with being away from her children.
