We now complete the Senior competitions by moving from the chaos to the girls. 14 of them, arranged into a group of 4 girls; followed by a group of 5 girls; followed by a resurfacing; followed by a group of 5 girls.

"Clare De Lune" always makes for a beautiful programme. And this was no exception.
Didn't know the song it was paired with. But, it didn't take away from the beauty of the programme, so I won't complain too much about leaving Debussey.
Ashley's dress was beautiful (actually reminds me of a dress that Emilea Zingas wore once upon a time).
And the skating was beautiful.
Like yesterday, she is delighted with her scores.
Into the lead with a score of 73.98. And, again like yesterday, it is a new absolute PB score.

Well, she didn't succeed, because I was definitely hearing "Habanera" coming through!

On the whole, a beautiful programme from Minja PELTONEN (FIN).
But, I really do not like this cover of "Fields Of Gold" by Celtic Woman. If you are going to use that song, use either Sting's original, or Eva Cassidy's cover.
Substitute one of those versions in, and this programme would be perfect!
But, she goes into the lead anyway.

Dialogue and then a thunderstorm at the start. OK...
For the first tune, I'm not sure Indian music works as a piano instrumental. But the song that followed it was beautiful.
Such a pity about the fall. And you can see that she's annoyed about it.
She shouldn't be. She has come on so much in the past few years.

Isabella VANDERLAAT (SWE) is another skater I am really rooting for.
I had never seen her before yesterday, but I looked her up as I was curious if she had Dutch heritage. I didn't manage to find out if she did or not, but I did find out her back story. And I am now a big supporter of her.
Ach, fell on her first element.
Not bad after than. But then she fell again towards the end.
Unfortunately, the falls are going to be costly.
Into 4th in the FS, and 3rd overall.

What Sarina really has going for her is her consistency - This is her third clean Free Skate out of three competitions so far this season (2 domestic + one international), and her third score over 180.
Compared to the incredibly talented, but chaotic Italian women, that will be her greatest strength.

I'm not a big Elvis fan. But even I would have preferred to hear his version of "Heartbreak Hotel" than that cover that we had at the start. It was brutal!
The other two songs in the Elvis medley were better. And we even got the real thing for "Jailhouse Rock".
The skating was great! And I liked the costume too.
Oh. Into 2nd in the FS, and overall.
