Achilles/calf pain from jumps?

I had this issue last year but it resolved itself because I quit jumping for a long time due to a separate issue. I started jumping again recently and it has come back. I think the pain is where the achilles connects to the calf, but on the inner side of the leg. So the upper inner achilles, inner lower calf.

The pain is in my right leg and caused by taking off for loop and flip (I don’t do lutz yet) I can faintly feel this starting on my left leg though.

What do we think is causing this? Am I just overloading for more than what I actually have strength for? I’m definitely not over-practicing and warm up properly. I kinda slack on strengthening my ankles/achilles/calves. Do we think that’s the issue?

The area you're describing sounds a bit like the tibialis posterior. It's functionally related to the achilles. I've gotten achilles/tib post issues occasionally before, usually after a sudden change that my muscles weren't used to (e.g. coming back to skate after a summer holiday, new boots, trying new off-ice exercise routines).

However, there are many different conditions related to the calf and ankle, so as @Ic3Rabbit said, you'd better see a medical professional to get a proper diagnosis.
