Well, we do have this. ;):dev3:

True. But I note it’s not in bags. :dev2:

And for some reason I can tolerate regular cheese and youghurt. But that’s also not in bags. :sad21:

To whoever asked, yes lactaid does work to a point. I guess what point depends on the individual. It makes milk taste much sweeter so you have to get used to it

As I pointed out above. It does come in bags in some brands and places. I have drank it there recently.

it was bagged lactose free milk and I have drank it there so it does exist.
Good to know!

Looks like there's 3 brands: Lactantia, Natrel, and Neilson, with Neilson being the only one to fly the bagged milk flag.

In happy anticipation of Boyang's eventual arrival, I'm hoping that some of the GTA posters on GS will weigh in to provide some views on where to get Northern Chinese food ... restaurants, food shops, and bakeries...

To get the ball rolling, here are the zomato listings...

https://www.zomato.com/toronto/best-northern-chinese-restaurants

And this bakery is well reviewed...

But I'm a west coast native living in Eastern Ontario, so we need some on the ground expertise...

I guess folks are a bit discouraged that Boyang isn't expected until August...

But I realized that I'd neglected to mention T & T, the Chinese Canadian supermarket chain...

While there isn't one in North York, there are 2 in Markham and several downtown...

This is cool and all, but I actually think he'll to get right down to business and start practice once he arrives. :p

Sure...but like Zhenya and the others, he won't be skating every day...

And he will likely want to shop at first where he can get familiar brands and food and everyone speaks Mandarin...

Which in north Toronto is easily done...

Ahh whoops I thought you meant something else LOL I thought if he comes to TCC in August he might not have time for participating in videos and everything too much (and he might not even want to), but you're pointing out basic/familiar utilities and communities.

Wouldn't Toronto have a community of Chinese students given that it has UToronto? :)

Toronto has a huge Chinese community... 12% of people living in Toronto identify as having Chinese ethnicity.

No need to look for the university groups for help.

T&T is a chain of full size north American style Chinese food supermarkets with around 10 stores in the greater Toronto area alone.

There are daily Mandarin newspapers, radio and television stations.
