Alaine at Worlds II

She is not my kid, but I still wanted to say a few things about her. ;)

The short:

Alaine was as always, super dynamic, with great speed free and fast, almost flying over the ice, just selling the heck out of Pina. I so love that program, she is my absolute number one in the short this season since we first met, at Oberstdorf. What a great character on and off ice, not holding back at either one!

I am far from an expert, but her triple Lutz is the best for me, no other lady has her outside edge, pity that the triple Toe afterwards, didn´t work.

Knowing this lady, I am sure she was furious about the fall on the double Axel as well, but I hope she will look at her program, knowing that she is gifted and a super girl on ice, with great abilities to sell her elements and story, she is hawt and wild and always going for the most difficult stuff, as seen with her Layback - that is so hard if you change the edge there and unique among the ladies who qualified for the Free.

Nothing but respect and proudness for this young Canadian and her spirit.

Go girl, you can do this!

Nice camerawork! How did you get all those different angles in what appears to be a short amount of time?

Four practice sections, 4 different sections  Its easier when skaters do most of their run throughs (like Shibs, Sinkats, Gilles/Poirier) and I found singles very challenging. It was my first time using a DSLR camera so most of the single skaters came out blury, especially Alaine (90% of her photos came out blury :sad21:)

But thank you, I'm glad people are liking the photos :agree:

Alaine  She has something... I don't get it. But I always enjoy her programs. She is my top North American pick :luv17:
