I am liking Charlene's work for Alaine. That dress looks great on her.

I love the dress too, as well as the FS one. But I'm not precisely clear on how much Charlene did on this one.

Alaine's grandma made all of her dresses in the past.

Beverley Smith reports in her blog post below that Charlene did the design and structure of the FS dress and Alaine's grandmother did the beadwork. The FS dress is inspired by Charlene's iconic dress for Joannie Rochette, and Charlene tweeted that Alaine would be wearing a new dress from her on the 30th.

But while it looks and sounds as though the same happened for the SP dress, I haven't found a confirmation.

Agree nonetheless that it's great for Alaine to have a new look that really works for her!

Rescuing Alaine's fest from very far back...

Some pre-nationals coverage.....

PJ Kwong new feature on Alaine http://www.openkwongdore.com/2017/01...ine-chartrand/

Ottawa Citizen feature from last week http://ottawacitizen.com/sports/loca...itle-in-ottawa

And a feature from today's Ottawa Citizen on how Alaine inspires other EO skaters, Prescott/Minto training mate Matthew Markell and Nepean's Josh Allen.

BTW on the subject of the return of her Pina SP, while things are a bit muddled, it sounds as though the original plan was to bring back Pina in a modified form for the Olympic season next year, but with the challenges Alaine's faced with the jump combo in Sway, the decision to revert to Pina was taken quickly after her last GP outing.

Best of luck to Alaine at nationals. Looking forward to two strong programs...:cheer:

Thanks for updating this FanFest, RemyRose.

If she keeps skating with the same confidence, quality and sophistication, ISU podium bound she will be. Well done, Alaine!

Gone with the wind like program and I also love this FP. Most of her jumps were underrotated so I really hope she overcome these jumps.

This is my 1080p fancam of Alaine's SP that I recorded this past Thursday at the 2017 Autumn Classic International: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x61n6jk I don't have her long program because security was very strict about enforcing the no video recording policy yesterday.

RDS (the French version of TSN) aired a summary of Alaine's Nationals LP, in case some of you might be interested in the French commentary: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6du62j

Although I had filmed this with my camera (which creates 1080p videos) from my friend's TV screen, the quality is fairly good for this type of recording. I don't have a tripod, so I did my best not to move my hands as much as possible.
