And they did it! 5th place in the free with a score of 127.60, and a total 5th place with a score of 195.80. Congratulations! What's so happy-making is not just the placement - which is great - but seeing them put it all together, and perform as one knows they are capable of.:)

Isn't it funny that they seem to consistently have been doing better in senior rather than junior competitions this year?

Lol Ikr? They threw it down at last year's senior nationals too. So glad they placed top five :party: I think this will be a confidence booster for them! Gotta love Dima's reaction at the end. Nice job guy's.

This season too - a weaker JGP event, stronger JGP event, not very strong JGPF... and now they are ready. Maybe start preparing a bit earlier?

But that's the thing - they had two good senior outings between the JGPs and the JGPF. Not that I wish to dispute your way of looking at things - otherwise it augurs ill for their Junior Nationals chances, after all.:)

I do think that Aleksandra's growth spurt derailed them a bit in the early part of the season, though. Puberty - it is not just for single skaters.:)

Oh, yes! Loved that reaction as well! When they are truly on, it feels as if they give it their all, and they are so fierce, it's truly a joy to behold.:)
 
OMG with all that is going on I didn't catch up they were going to compete at JR Nats... does someone have found a video of their SP?
I know they're in second behind Daria Pavliuchenko / Denis Khodykin :hap10:
 
I haven't seen any videos - maybe someone else has?

They have just finished their FP - I just caught the very, very end. Sadly it seems, however, that their junior competition woes continue. They ended up 6th in the free skate, and 4th overall.

So I suppose no junior Worlds' for them.

Hoping for the best for next season instead. This is just a bump in the road, and they'll get over it, I'm sure - though I'm sure they're terribly disappointed just now.
 
I wouldn't mind if they kept their Nutcracker for next season. Just to see it performed clean ...
 
I would like to see them do more abstract programs not so classical, I think it would suit them.
I hope next season is better for them, at least they did well in senior nats, that must motivate them.
 
I honestly loved both their programs this season - and I also loved that they were so different from each other. I haven't grown even the slightest bit tired of either one.:)

Not worrying about mistakes or placements, I did quite enjoy them.:) And a reminder to myself that they really did have great programs this season. I think, though, their senior Nationals performances were the best of the season, and the ones to be really cherished and revisited.
