Aleksandra Boikova & Dmitrii Kozlovskii

I just saw their free at skate Canada and they were fantastic! I loved it and they were incredible! I wish them all the best in France! :hap10:

I just checked, and their free skate score is currently the 5th highest of the season, with only one GP remaining. That's no mean feat.:)

I too am wishing them the best of good fortune in France.:)

I just hope this doesn't make them nervous going into the free. I don't doubt they are very level-headed, but this is their first senior GP season, and it's a new position for them.

Wishing them the best, and that they just go out there and skate that free as they did in Skate Canada.

Good luck!:)

God I'm so glad they got 1st in the short! Hopefully, they'll do just as well for the FS. :) They need to be on the GPF.

I'm heartbroken. In my (biased) opinion they deserved to go to the Final but it looks like the pressure got to them here. Mostly I hope Sasha is okay, that looked like a very painful fall, and that she and Dima can come back strong at Russian Nats.

This is what I was afraid of. Sadly their score from Skate Canada would have been enough for silver at almost any other GP - but it just wasn't to be.

I hope they can regroup and wishing them the best for Russian Nationals.

I actually went back an re-watched the warm up and it looks like they had a slight collision with James and Cipres. Vanessa was kicking back into an extension and Sasha and Dima were prepping for a throw. It wasn't full impact but it was rather more that a high five/hip bump and Sasha was rubbing her leg afterwards. I really hope that isn't what threw them off their game tonight.

I agree with you both. I was watching live at the rink, and they were suberb in the short. Aleksandra looked like she was having a tough time in practices this morning, so it may have affected their confidence.

But hopefully they will rise at Russian Nationals :agree:

On a more shallow note, I got both their signatures on my Russian flag, and they had my plush in the SP KnC :hap10:

That's very unfortunate. Still, if that was the case, then maybe it wasn't just nerves - it may have been a contributing factor, and also may have rattled them a little if nothing else.

Still, they are young in pair terms, and this will be a learning experience for them - and I'm sure this will just fuel their fire, and they will come back all the stronger for it.

Excelsior.

(Though I'm very sad just now - I was really hoping that they'd make the GPF.)

Yay! That's so cool!

I am sure that not making at the GP Final was a big disappointment for them but I am also very sure that they will get over it very quickly because overall they had a very good debut GP season and they still have a great chance to win a medal at the Nationals.

I just want to express my deep gratitude to everyone who was sick and worried for us! Thank you for supporting us no matter what.

I want to express my gratitude to everyone who experienced and was rooting for us. Special thanks to the coaches and parents. Preparing for the Championship of Russia ...

Sasha and Dima performed their SP at St Petersburg Cup - most likely as a little warm-up event before nationals to get the nerves out - and they scored 70.80!

They did everything cleanly/well until the sbs spins where Sasha caught her edge on a rut in the ice and almost wiped out :palmf:. I know I shouldn't laugh but it was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while (Sasha was fine just a bit surprised at the error), regardless I'm not concerned, it was clearly just a fluke and other than that they looked strong and well prepared to enter the bloodbath that will be RusNats.

You can see their skate here at 1:53:47 and the protocol for the event is here (I have to wonder if Moskvina could possible pack Judges 3 and 4 in her suitcase and bring them with her to Nationals, they only put -2 for the spin despite Sasha exiting early and putting both hands down!!)

It's so wonderful to see Tamara Moskvina back with a team in the medal hunt :luv17::luv17::luv17:

They have such great talent and I can see them challenging the T/M and Z/E hierarchy in a season or two (and overtake them heading into 2022 ) if they continue to move upward as they currently are.

Fingers crossed for them in the free skate
