Interesting ideas.:) Funny that in my browsing I actually did come across Henry Purcell, but none of the pieces I clicked on was exactly what I was looking for - this definitely is.:)
I was looking through some other Baroque pieces and it happened to appear in my right menu.
Generally I was searching for pieces in a minor key with a moderate to quick tempo and memorable melody but not something over-powering.

I wish I could describe as well what I was looking for - but I don't really know anything about music. It's more that I have a vague idea, and I know it when I hear it. It shouldn't be too light or chirpy - there should be some emotional depth to it.

Yeah, emotional depth is really important. With a minor key you won't get chirpy stuff, that's why I was looking for works in a minor key.
Also something that creates an image befitting of him. I think you know what I mean.

I took a look at the events schedule on fskate again and it seems that there is one more domestic competition left:
Competition for the Prizes of the Federation of St Petersburg.
It takes place from 14th to 17th April.
Last year Lazukin and Liza took part but it was held in March last year.

It's unlikely that Sasha will take part but I can't rule out the possibility completely because someone from their school will have to be sent.

Warsaw Cup 2014 FS.
Not my favourite program of his but this particular performance is worth re-watching. All spins level 4 and stsq also level 4. The jumps weren't the tidiest of that season's (and he's faster now than he was in 2014) but he had complex steps and transitions entering each jump, including spread eagles before the 3A and 3Lo.

I hope that when Sasha's physical condition improves, his programs can return to this level of complexity. IIRC at Nice Cup 2014 (or one of the other CS events) he also did a besti squat going into the 3A, so he's more than capable of this kind of difficulty when physically fit.

One thing that concerns me though is whether Prokofieva can get his stsq to level 4. She wasn't able to do it this season. In 2014 his choreographer was Smirnov.

I've found out where these are from - the junior test skates in 2012, specifically his LP. A very important event since this determined whether or not he would get JGPs for the 2012-2013 season and how many.

Here's a photo of his SP at the same test skate:

I added in the camp schedule as well as 3 other events :

May 6-8 2016 Ontario Seminar
May 16-30 2016 Tartu Camp
June 17-30 2016 Courchevel Camp
July 10-20 2016 Tartu Camp
Aug/Sept 2016 Test Skate
Sept 2016 1st Stage of Russian Cup (Samara)
Sept 2016 Nebelhorn Trophy
Oct 2016 Ondrej Nepela Trophy
Oct 2016 Finlandia Trophy
Oct 2016 Nice Cup
21-23 Oct 2016 Skate America
28-30 Oct 2016 Skate Canada
4-6 Nov 2016 CoR
11-13 Nov 2016 TEB / 9-13 Nov Kiev CS event
18-20 Nov 2016 CoC
25-27 Nov 2016 NHK / 22-27 Nov Estonia (maybe Tallinn Trophy)
Dec 2016 Golden Spin
8-11 Dec 2016 GPF Marseille

Given the heavy camp schedule, I hope they won't do more than 2 competitions before the GP series begins. Sasha has done on average 9-10 competitions every season since 2010-2011. That is too much. And no more meaningless/distant competitions like Belgorod please.

Russian Nationals 2017 will be held in Chelyabinsk, near the Urals. Around Christmas time as usual.
