Tbh I wish he could think less about who beat whom and just focus on his own performance. If he does his own job well, the results won't be disappointing (and may be even better than what we expect now

To be fair though, they did ask him about the rest of the competitors. I'd rather he answer in a straight forward manner than give a PC response.

I think setting one's goal high can be a good thing - as the saying goes: "If you aim for the stars, you may reach the treetops." I too think it's doubtful he'll make the Euros/Worlds teams - but I love that he wants to go for it.
