Alexander Petrov

Thanks, adelia! Sasha looks taller to me, too.
Does anyone know the title of the music that accompanies the step sequence, starting at 1:53?
Libertango? Anyone else think so? I'm not good at identifying music. In any case you're right Sofia, it's music from Piazzolla.

Not sure about the music choice yet but HE looks good (aside from those 3 jumps). :)

Edit:
The vast majority of comments on vk about his LP are very positive so that's a good sign! :cheer:

The comments from a few VK users:

"Sanya, are you not unrolled skates? Do not worry, everything will be fine. Good luck to you!!!

How I love Sasha. What lines, what power. He has all the chances to grow into a terrific skater. And even on the show he's a real fighter. And the fact that a little bit out of shape, not scary. The season has just started, when it is necessary to gather. Good luck and do not be upset Sasha! All out!

Not in the form of - a common occurrence for August. But why in the concert box office as jumping? Just imagine all the rescued ((He also became heavier somehow, or maybe just think of clothes.
I wonder what happens when he grows up - in the last season looked very promising.

I fall a bit, but nothing has accumulated. And the program is cool and Sanka is. Sort of a noble dignity, everything will be fine 😘

And I'm in the program with the first viewing in love, in the same breath looked. Awesome. If it claims, it will be one of my favorite programs 😍

I understand this is his new free program. Very beautiful, interesting hands. I sincerely hope that Sasha pick up a form to the beginning of the season.

The program is really very cool. really looks in one breath)"

Sasha has been listed only as a substitute for Nebelhorn Trophy. Liza is not listed at all. It appears that they are likely to skip this competition then.

If I remember correctly, Liza was a substitute for Nebelhorn last year, and that her ending up going was unexpected to them. Maybe they felt it was one competition too many - and that, especially this year, it would be unnecessary for her. And that they don't expect Sasha to get it this year, but are fine with it, if he does.

When do you think that Team Mishin intends to begin their campaign in earnest - Finlandia?

Liza IMO might begin her campaign at Japan Open.

As for Sasha, it will be one of 3 options I think:
Russian Cup event in Samara on 17 Sept, Nebelhorn 24 Sept (unlikely but you never know what might happen) or Finlandia on 8 October.

It's to be noted that Mishin's training camps are a month later than usual this year, probably to accommodate Liza's tour and vacation. So his skaters might not be completely fit yet.

Thanks. If that is so, then perhaps a slightly later start is advisable - I suppose also, this year, as he's doing the senior versus the junior GP, he doesn't need to be ready as eearly as in previous years.

By the way, when is Japan Open exactly? Early October?

Yes, 3 October.

Thanks ( - I can never keep track of these things... )
I only just remembered... Sasha was initially only a substitute for Finlandia last season too. He was a last minute replacement for Artur who pulled out.

Video about Liza, but you can see Sasha floating around in the background. It's from a recent training session.

Edit:
In the interview it's mentioned that Liza will take part in the Russian Cup event in Samara. Perhaps Sasha will be there too.

Yay! Already though? I thought the test skates weren't until the weekend? (the test skates are in Sochi, right? - I hope I haven't got that confused!) Can't wait to see the programs and the progress! :)
