This training rink is not crowded it seems.
There are supposed to be 5 people in Sasha's group but I haven't seen Kovtun in any pictures so it's possible only 4 people turned up.
At yesterday's practice in the main arena only 2-3 people (including Sasha) were present. The other Russians hadn't arrived in Bratislava yet.

Edit:
I stand corrected, Kovtun did attend practice.

The draw ended not long ago. Sasha skates second in the final group.
Mens SP is 5.30pm local time tomorrow (27th).

Today's first practice session is at 2.30pm at the practice rink.
The second session will be at 9pm at the main rink

So, this means that he will skate quite late in the evening, yes? I have to go out a bit during the day, but I don't want to run the risk of missing Sasha! I hope to not miss anyone, but it mightn't be possible to avoid, and I just want to make sure that I'll most definitely be here for Sasha.

His warm-up group starts around 9.45pm local time. Rough estimate according to the time schedule.

And then another cute pic comes along...

Did you notice what was hanging around Mishin's neck?

I can't quite see (my bad eyesight) - is it a picture of Sasha?

And yay for (potential) interview! Looking forward to that.:) And I wasn't nervous at all... until you mentioned being nervous! So, thanks a lot! (glares) But (stops glaring) the good thing is that it doesn't matter how nervous we are, as long as Sasha isn't. And I'm getting a quite serene vibe from him - and no, I can't quite exactly say how - but I feel as if he's there enjoying himself. I hope I'm right.:)

I am always nervous and lately more so than before...

It's Sasha's accreditation pass that's around Mishin's neck. :) He's wearing it on top of his own pass.

Awww! (beams)

I suppose I'm more serene because I used to be a nervous wreck when either Plushy or Brian skated in later years - for completely different reasons. I feel more calm about Sasha because I don't expect him to fall apart on me (physically or mentally). That said, I may get more and more nervous as his skate approaches, who can say? I'm a procastrinatrix, and I can manage to procrastinate being nervous as well (see, even character flaws can come in handy sometimes.;))

Sigh. Stress...

Anyway, second practice tonight will be at the main rink, so there should be more pics to come.

I don't suppose we could hope for... videos? Or am I being too greedy?;)
Probably not. There were videos from Skate Canada because the practice session was streamed live online.

Anyway, I wonder... will it be the one-piece or the red training shirt.

Guess what? Sasha skipped the night session. Hopefully that was the original plan. *fingerscrossed*

It was a bit of a media circus though because all the press and more fans had arrived and TAT was that too.

Edit:
I've seen a picture of the warm-up area before his group's official practice session and he wasn't there so I guess that was the original plan? I hope so.

Maybe they wanted to avoid the media circus? And/or they thought the morning session, when he could train in peace & quiet, was quite sufficient?

I can see several merits from only doing one session a day, the day-time session, because quite frankly a 9pm practice session is really late and he doesn't need to tire himself out.
However, I just hope that was the plan, if you know what I mean.
