Alexander Petrov

An update on his ISU World ranking. He's moved up to #14 with the points from Sportland Trophy.

I don't think he'll be passed by more than one or two people (if at all) by the time this season ends. So a top 24 ranking (and at least one GP) is assured.
Hopefully he can do one CS event before his first GP next season, so that he accumulates enough points to start in the second group for the SP.

Apparently there were at least a dozen professional photographers at the gala and yet there's only one picture that's been published online where you can see his face clearly. Really?

Well, now it seems there are 2 North American, then 2 European & ending with 2 Asian GPs. Not that I know if that has anything to do with the switch, just noting - tidy. :)

It's possible.

Interestingly, Skate Canada will be held at the Hershey Centre, which is not too far away from where Mishin will be taking Liza and Nugumanova for a seminar in May.

Looking at the gp schedule, I'm really starting to hope for Sasha (and Liza, too) to take part in finlandia trophy. Partly for selfish reasons, but also it would make sense timing wise.
Also thinking about the worlds 2017, in which I think it would be possible for him to get a spot to. The competitions won't be held at the same rink, but relatively close. (I know it is still quite far in the future but…)

I am very much hoping for Finlandia too (or any CS event).
But all this hinges on Liza's fitness. If Liza is a no-go, then it's probably a no-go for Sasha too.
They might do Cup of Nice or the 1st stage of the Russian Cup in Samara. :(
