That is true. Right now, I'm just placing all my hopes on the music. I'm reading comments on social media that it looks to be a "fun" program. Personally I don't care about "fun" or "no fun". "Fun" is not a standard by which to gauge whether a program is good or not.

Anyway, we will probably find out tomorrow what one of his programs looks like.

I do so hope you are right about that!

Yeah, "fun" can mean... almost anything. Also what is "fun" or not varies so much from person to person. I can only hope that, at any rate, in this case "fun" means more "energetic" than... "cute".

The gala begins about 5 hours from now. I'm actually quite curious about the SP. I don't really know for sure who choreographed it, although I've been assuming it was Vipond based on some facebook photos and video from Canada. But noone has actually outright said so.

The gala ended a few hours ago. There's just one photo so far (unless you count half-body shots), it's been posted on the fanpage. Disappointingly, nothing about the gala in Tartu local news either.

That's sad. I've been restraining myself from asking any "Any news yet?" questions here on the thread, as I knew that had there been... you'd have posted it. :) I'm terribly curious though, and I hope there will be something soon.

There are a couple other photos, check the fanpage.

Sasha skated his SP btw. Or maybe he skated two programs, I don't know. He wasn't wearing the orange shirt during the program, he wore the exact same shirt as he did in Courchevel. This one: https://www.instagram.com/p/BG_pyl1nmB4

Thank you. That whets my curiosity even further... Come on, someone, anyone, let us know what he skated to at least! (impatient bounce)

I haven't found a full length video yet. I hope the usual person who uploads these gala videos to youtube was there. I really need to see that SP in full.

Oh and a pity that there was no coverage in the Tartu Postimees like last year. Their journalist takes wonderful photos.

I was watching this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXVJBekWZz0
JGP Poland 2012 gala, where he won his first JGP medal. The EX was skated to the same music as his previous season's LP but with different choreo. I like it. And if you compare this to his 2011-2012 FS performances, you can see how he had grown as a skater. Also, that axel technique is so good. I'd even say it's unusually good for a Mishina student. I'm not sure who coached Sasha before the 2008-2009 season. In the Vilnius Cup videos his club is stated as the Academy of Figure Skating in SPB so it's quite possible he only transferred to Mishin's group in the summer or fall of 2008.

Edit:
There is still no video from the Tartu camp gala, in case you were wondering.

I've stopped expecting any now... That way, if anything turns up, I'll be pleasantly surprised.:)

Also, great picture - and I especially like the "enjoyeverymoment" - that's the spirit! Savour the moments, Sasha!
He had a productive training camp. That's my guess.
