Alexander Petrov

If Sasha still didn't learn a quad - it's a absolutely shame. 10-12 places - it's not a good level for Mishin's team. Evgeny Semenenko will beat him soon (by soon I mean 3-4years) :) But anyway, as I already said, can't wait to see him at Skate Canada. :)

Why go into skaters' fanfests to post disparaging things about the skaters? Especially unsubstantiated stuff. :noshake:

It's the birthday of Sasha's former coach, Oleg Tataurov. Tataurov coached him from 2008 (?) to 2014.

(Looks like they used a screenshot, which is kind of strange when there are several better photos they could have used.)

Anyway, Happy Birthday to Oleg!
A former student of Tatiana Mishina, his 3A technique was quite similar to a couple other known skaters who have passed through Mishin's group.

He's on the entries list for Nebelhorn Trophy.

I was wondering about that, since I saw (yesterday I think - I haven't "been" there since) that Alex D said in the Nebelhorn thread that Liza might be there.

I see. I hope he can do another competition in between Nebelhorn and SC. Gotta collect those points for CoC.

I'd love it to be Finlandia - it's a well-organised event and seems to get good visibility as well.

Misha Ge's twitter on 20 Aug:
"Yesterday had a good work with Alexander Petrov on his FP that i choreographed earlier. Looking forward to see it on the Competitions"
LRK, is this enough confirmation for you?

On a more serious note, I'm glad that his FS seems to be progressing.

Yes. The good thing about being in De Nile is that once I'm faced with reality, I have had time to get used to it.

Note: In case someone else is reading this, as adelia knows, I adored Richaud's program for Sasha last year, and I was hoping that they would keep on building on that work, as Richaud was clearly someone who "got" Sasha.

And yes, I'm glad work is going well. I've been remiss in catching up on Misha's tweets recently. I should remedy that.:)

Sasha will be skating in the 1st Stage of the Cup of SPB, which begins on Monday. Don't expect a live stream, we'll be lucky if we even get videos.
He will be the final skater to start.

Edit:
And he may very well only skate the SP, as a dry run for a more serious competition. It's common for the top skaters to do so.

FYI Finlandia entries have to be in no later than 6 Sept. So we will find out soon after that whether he will go or not.

If Finlandia is a no go then it could be Nice Cup again... or not? Which brings me to the scheduling change: Nice Cup has been pushed back from 16 to 19 Oct. It is too close to SC if you ask me. But we shall see what happens.

And so...

Forgot to add that the SP begins at 12.25pm on 29 Aug and the FS begins at 3pm on 30 Aug. Local time of course.

Hmm some others taking part tomorrow will only be skating their SP. It's quite possible that's the plan for Sasha too. Anyway, we shall see. One thing is almost certain, he'll be debuting his new SP tomorrow.
