Match TV declared from anonymous sources Sasha fractured her foot before the Skate America.
Tarasova (and she's known to have "some" experience in FS) states it is an absolute nonsense, as no one can do 4Lz with a broken foot.
The official statement is a trauma with no details.
Let hope for better. It would be impossible to prepare for RusNats with a fracture.

How much was the shipping? They wanted too much info to provide a shipping quote for the gloves and I quit the site part way through the pretend-order.

Very sad news about the possible foot fracture. I don't know how the skater and the coaching team handles this but if it's a real foot fracture or even just a stress fracture that's not going to go away overnight.
Of course if Sasha makes her next event then we will know it's not a foot fracture unless she is truly superhuman.
I sure hope Sasha is enjoying her week off from competition.
I heard a story back from 1970th about a Russian inventor who created a vibrostand to help the Bolshoi Ballet dancers to heal stressed fractures as quickly as possible.
Once men in suits visited the theater, confiscated the stand and kindly asked the man to follow them. Nobody heard anything about this inventor anymore.
The story owner was a professor of University, so some credit may be allowed.
I presume the issue may be resolved somehow, even partial solution would be better than the career ending decision.

Provided Sasha will go to NHK to skate and still wants to reach the GPF, what place she's required to achieve?
First place certainly sends her to the GPF. But it looks unlikely with two watered out programs.
Would it be enough to take 2nd, 3rd, 4th place?

So heartbroken about Sasha's withdrawal from the NHK Trophy. I really thought this was her year after test skates, now everything looks very complicated for her.
Wishing her speedy recovery, which is the most important thing, force Sasha!

Sorry to hear Sasha had to pull out of Japan with the foot injury although it was not completely unexpected. Let's hope she's fine in a few weeks and is flying at Nationals or before then if the injury Gods allow it. Figure skating is one of the toughest Sports out there with some of the toughest people.

The GPF actually shouldn't matter to her, it will just be a condensed RusNats without the big prize at the end. As long as our Russian Rocket is able to launch with full power for the real RusNats, everything will be in order.
