Yeah I feel sorry for her, it’s like no matter how she tries, she’s always in Anna’s shadow.I'm so heartbroken for Sasha.I finally was able to watch her FS, and it was more of an injustice than I thought. I have always believed personally that since the tech panel did not do their job in 2014 Yuna was the rightful winner no matter what the results say. It was not a subjective difference but an objective one. I think I will hold the same view here that Sasha was the true winner.
At Russian Nationals 2021 she had 2 Quad Lutzes and Anna's 1- Quad program was 183 points to her 170. And yet here a 5-Quad FS to 1 Quad was 177 to 175. There is something terribly wrong with this picture. Why should she ever be satisfied with being thrown the silver or bronze medal when she did so much. In the events where she does fewer quad jumps and a clean SP she loses by a landslide from Europe to Beijing margin and she would have needed 2 more Quads to win and when she does 5 Quads and 3A SP she loses by a huge margin and is told less quads and no 3A? It does not make sense to me.
I have not posted for years despite the fact that I read Goldenskate daily and always follow skating but what happened to Sasha here was so terrible I cannot help it. When Yulia faltered in 2014 even a diehard fan like me could not so much as make an argument for her to be 4th instead of 5th. But Sasha? She deserved the win here.
So I understand her frustration and meltdown, I would also lose my composure.

Maybe Trusova can stay for another 4 years, fine-tune a few things, and be able to win in 2022. But that was a GUTSY FP!
Congrats to sasha she did history .. and I get the reaction .. she work hard, she did her best and wasn't enough ... and sometimes people explode ...
The only problem that I see is that Eteri didn't prepare her to fail or maybe she did telling her that if she did the quads she would win ( but not thinking that she would land everything)

She is the most important lady in this sport since a lot of years, decades and she will remain the most important for a lot of years, she is brave
but in next 4 years..... sofia akateva, sofia samodelkina, veronika zhilina, maruvieva, zharagova, adelina petrosia, alisa dvoeglazova... and I'm sure there are, today, some great more names with 13, 14, 15 years old...

If Sasha herself would want to continue, there's nothing lost for her. Physically she is perfectly fine, she is light while muscular, her stress fracture seems healed, we are not aware of any other serious injuries. She just needs to work on her mind.

Sasha Trusova is and always has been a marvel. She should hold her head up high. I hope that in time, she will come to appreciate all that she has acomplished in this sport. She has done things in this sport that no one could have imagined just a few years ago. She is already a legend in her own right. Furthermore, there is absolutely nothing wrong with winning the silver. Just ask:

Good for her! That's what she needs by now. Frendly faces and some relaxed fun with people she adores. Plus, of all people on the planet, those two guys are surely able to appreciate her 5 quads!

Some of the greatest skaters of all time. Names that will be remembered in this sport forever. All Olympic silver medalists. Sasha made history and that will be remember long after the gold medal of the 2022 Beijing Olympics is forgotten.Sasha Trusova is and always has been a marvel. She should hold her head up high.
