I kind of wish they wouldn't zoom in on her eyes as if they are trying to see into her soul. However, I can never complain about the Japanese and their love for Alina.

My opinion is that Alina is conflicted. She wants a break, but is a little sad that she feels that way. It's a new thing for her. As for retirement, literally every single skater that has ever retired has talked about how hard it was for them. Alina will come back one way or the other because she won't be able to stand it for too long without the feeling of competition. I hope her break recharges her and inspires her.

Whatever she decides to do I wish her the very best for the future. I will never forget how the cute little red ballerina lightened my mood a bit when I was hospitalized and very ill during the Olympics and was in bed watching the Olympics on my computer.
