Alina Zagitova

Thank you! That's strange. When I opened it several hours ago I swear her name was missing from that list for sure :palmf: I even wrote them a message and asked them to correct the list. Maybe they did

Just to let you know that I have updated the Original Post.

One of the things I have done is to add in a Competitive History table. However, there are a LOT of blanks in it.

The problem is that a lot of the older competitions have had their Entries / Results pages taken down. Plus the fact that I can't speak Russian (and the use of abbreviations) means that I can't work out what level she was competing at for most of the competitions before this season.

So, if anybody knows what any of the blanks should be, please let us know.

Thank you

wow, that small documentary about Alina which was posted earlier here (link) has got more than 200k views. Seems like Alina becoming really popular :agree:

Olympic Games are coming and Russia needs a new Olympia-sensation. Since the 'old sensation' gave up, the feds are constructing a new 'wonder-child'.

They don't need to construct a new wonder child. Alina's skating speaks for her.

Yeah, no doubt about that, but I think it is still too early for her moving to seniors.
why? Why is it too early for Alina? Is it too early for Polina, Marin, Kaori too? :rolleye: Is it just for Alina too early?
i don't agree. :noshake:

Because Julia is a pretty nice example why they are too young.
What about Elena? Evgenia? Anna? and other girls. They all moved around the same age.
Why everyone should be like Julia?
or
When will it be not "too early"? :rolleye:

Because Yulia is a pretty nice example why they are too young.

Just because Yulia didn't cope with pressure on senior level doesn't mean that every your skater will share her fate. Evgenia manged pretty well and Mao Asada who is a queen of figure skating moved to seniors when she was 15 and won senior GPF while not being age eligible for Olympic Games.

Also Alina's technical content is right now unbeatable among junior ladies (probably among seniors too) and her staying in juniors would probably end in very monotonic season as there would be no one to really challenge her as Japanese girls are moving to seniors. Now we are going to have Alina, Evgenia, Satoko, Anna, Elena, Ashley, Gabby, Kaetlyn and Marin competing with each other which I find much more exciting.

And we will finally have skater who can REALLY face Zhenya

Yeah, no doubt about that, but I think it is still too early for her moving to seniors.

Why would someone stay in Juniors once they've won Jr. GPF and Jr. Worlds? There's nothing left there for them.
