Alina Zagitova

This is a really fair article about what Alina has been experiencing on social media. I thought it was kind and supportive but also honest. Taking into account that Alina is still a teenage girl. It's not possible that she won't make mistakes in her life. Especially dealing with her level of popularity. Even her fans have expectations. She cannot please everyone all the time and if she did it would be detrimental to her sanity. :(

I thought these were very wise words and good advice -

"Love for Zagitova on the part of Russian society is unprecedented - there is simply no other athlete who would be treated with such trepidation in Russia. Our society, tired of the vulgar stars of show business, has long been waiting for its princess - and waited.

However, Alina has already grown up - next year she will turn 20, which means that it is time for the princess to become a queen!

The brightest star from the constellation "crystal" has everything to get this status. The only condition is not to follow the lead of the haitrs, who are very counting on another violent reaction from Alina, but royally ignore any provocations from the “well-wishers”."

This was also nice to read -

"People who have the pleasure of being personally acquainted with Zagitova, in unison, note that Alina is an open, cheerful and completely conflict-free person. And there is no reason to doubt that this is indeed the case."

I agree with you that that this generally a fair article. But I am sorry Alina is going through some conflict with her social media and some of her fans if they are fans. I don't follow this stuff as closely as you all do but I am disappointed some of the reactions to her pictures have gotten her angry to the point where she wanted to close her Instagram page or at least thought about it. I was also on one of the Russian media sites and came across an article of her at the beach or a pool in a bikini and what I would say was a pretty classy photo of alina. I guess it was a couple comments that were negative someone said didn't your parents teach you better. Whaaaaat? I find it hard to believe that these are real fans. AZ is only human and some of these comments frustrate her. I can't blame her.

Well, remember that the term "fan" derives from "fanatic". For some reason, certain "fans" can be really obsessive and possessive about their chose idols - expecting them to meet some sort of ideal. I'm sure these people see themselves as true fans even if they are not.

Unfortunately for Alina, her fame and popularity have made these people (and the "haters") a part of everyday life. Cutting off the social media aspect of life would help, but unfortunately she most likely needs to have IG because of her advertising sponsors, promotion of ice shows she does, etc.

When you say fanatic that is a scary word. I think the great Yuzu has these issues. They don't deserve it.

I'm pretty sure Alina cannot just close down her Instagram. She's going to be making a lot of money well into her twenties so she's gonna have to learn to live with the occasional nonsense even though it's not right or fair. I think she's still adjusting to all of this. She probably loves to have her little sister in some of these photo shoots and stuff but she's probably trying to shield her at the same time. Maybe that's one of the reasons Alina gets upset. It's a good news is she loves going all over the place all over the world to do shows and to give skating lessons so she is taking full advantage of her stature as a GOAT.

"With my schedule it is of course difficult to maintain a good level of attendance. And because of this, I often have to study theory on my own. But I can already work on many things in real life practice.
Thanks to the teachers for helping me get an education despite the specifics of my active rhythm of life. It's important for me."

"Alina Zagitova @azagitova, Champion of Russia, Champion of Europe, Champion of the Grand Prix Final, World Champion, Silver medalist of the Olympics, Olympic Champion, will tell our viewers how to develop leadership skills and achieve high results at a young age🔝"

Oh no! I should be working but after reading get well wishes from Alina I read - through Google translate - that Alina's partner in the show Dimitry Solovyev went to the hospital after being attacked. The translation is not exact it seems he was defending his wife (google said common-law wife didn't know Russian was so exact). Ugh. "At least it's not covid"

Best wishes to him in any case.
