Thank you! I had forgotten about that, I also think there is a high chance they'll add something very different to the mix to set the tone of the story. And yesss the costume. I really liked the past two costumes from her programs, but that same lady made Evgenia's Anna Karenina costume, which I didn't really like but I guess it wasn't too bad. I'm sure this one will be awesome anyway so waiting it's all that's left..



I was also thinking of how delicate Alina looked in that performance to imagine her in some of the POTO's pieces that I've been listening, I bet she'll fit perfectly.

I was looking at her Instagram (@ryabenko_olga) and there’s a red dress posted 4 hours ago. Someone mentioned “Carmen” in the comments and she wrote that she could not tell who the owner was, but that the person could ask Zagitova. Or search for the owners at their own discretion - I do not know if I understood correctly, you know how google works... (And btw, the back of the dress looks exactly like the back of the green dress she made for Alina’s commercial for Sberbank.) I really don’t think it’s for Alinka... but who knows

Yeah, I know. that’s why she said that isn’t ok to expose the owner of the dress. I think it’s nice that she does wait until the competition to show the dresses.

Yes, her name is Olga Ryabenko. She's been working with Eteri for some years now and always make the dresses for the girls.

Anyway, didn't they say they'd release Masaru plushies in Japan? it'd be cute if they gave Alina one as a gift.
Also, since we already know what her competitive programs for next year will be, i'm curious to know what her EX will be. What would you like to see her perform?

I remember Eteri mentioning that they like to use EX pieces as a way to experiment and if a skater feels strongly enough about a piece of music or style that is a great place to try it out.

Since Alina’s competitive programs are a more lyrical piece (POTO) and a strong spanish style one (Carmen) I’d like for her to do something completely modern and different. Maybe a modern Jazz piece?

I would like to see Alina performing Growing Pains by Alessia Cara. The title itself tells a lot about what every girl goes through, particularly in figure skating when “growing up” is seen in a negative way since a lot of the girls goes through a hard time trying to adjust their jumps with their new bodies. And obviously everyone experience growing pains as teenagers not only fiscally but emotionally as well.
I see Alina’s story in some parts of the lyrics: “I try to ignore it but home's looking farther the closer I get” (the closer she gets of being an elite athlete in Moscow, farther away she stays from being with her family in Izhevsk)
And also: “And I guess the bad can get better. Gotta be wrong before it's right.” (When she broke her arm and her leg and had to learn how to walk again; or when Eteri told her to go home; or even last season when she was falling all over the place with Black Swan and broke the world record at the Olympics)
“Every happy phrase engraved in my mind
And I've always been a go-getter. There's truth In every word I write” (She is always with positive energy and you can tell how hard work she has been putting in her career to help her family).
Anyways, I didn’t intend for this post to be so long but I just love Alessia Cara personality and I think Alina and Alessia are both empowering and talented young ladies.

oh i love this idea! jazz! i have no idea what that would look like for Alina and that's what makes it exciting! rumors have it that she's grown quite a bit in height, i wonder how different she'll look next time we see her on the ice (and without a tutu :eeking: )
