:dev3:Overly enthusiastic guy who may or may not be drunk and looks like he is possibly trying to strangle Zhenya is my favorite part of this photo!![]()
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dziOcjmwrls&t=14sOne comment on sports.ru said: "It seems like Alina was born into this world to cause everyone in Russian FS a massive, collective b-hurt. Many people are now disappointed in their idols". Which sums it up well, unfortunately.Exactly. Thank you, And almost all of them wanted Zhenya to win but they don't even hide it in front of Alina their teammate. Alena wanted Zhenya to win the gold. Hmmm.

Adelina probably knows how it feels like. It wasn't as bad with Alina as it had been with Adelina but still... I think it's really a nice gesture. TAT's comment was awful. And mind you, Adelina too expressed some issues with the current system, I remember an interview where she was in favor of even raising the age limit. But she still praised Alina and said she had a memorable program at the Olympics and deserved her victory. So, you can do both. Really classy of her. She seems to have matured a lot since Sochi.
Well, you only saw photos. No offense but this sounds like a lot of assumptions and speculations. Who knows Alina wasn't carrying the flag, too, at some point? They're both Russian, they both did a lot for their country and they certainly both have every right to carry the flag. The only issue I'd have with this would be: Why on earth wouldn't they prepare two flags for them?![]()

I have a theory that Adelina's experience with online bullying is one of the reasons Alina keeps such a low social media profile. She isn't taking any chances. Smart girl.
There is no way to receive more hatred in this forum than saying that Evgenia deserved the OGM.:dev3:
Dmitry Guberniev always looks drunk and he really loves microphones.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dziOcjmwrls&t=14s

I’m really late to this but about the comment about her tights...completely unnecessary! Alina can wear what she wants, and what she’s most comfortable with! Just because others don’t like it doesn’t meant she has to stop doing it. I actually prefer the half-over tights than fully over (fully over look rank on seniors, only acceptable for some juniors) < again, that is just my opinion. And I think half over tights make your legs look longer anyway lol, whereas tights under skates can look clompy. Anyway, why does it matter??! It’s such an irrelevant and unnecessary thing
Why can’t we all just be happyyy [emoji31][emoji31] (jk, that’s unrealistic)

Alina is going to come out with her tights pulled over her skates, her eyebrows micro-bladed, and wearing a tutu just to piss everyone off![]()
Btw, Sasha’s best score (Junior World FS) was still 5 points less than Alina’s Olympic team event (her best score) even with 2 quads and a 3lz+3lo(rippon). So unless Sasha gains Carolina-Kostner-PCs by Russian nationals there’s still chance of Alina winning [emoji23] same with Anna and Alena, but their highest scores still come over 10 less than Alina’s. Not putting these girls down in any way, I love them all, but just a random calculation I made lol
If Alina wins the Grand Prix Final and is clean, the judges will not make it difficult for her to win the Nationals. Although, it could be a slightly different story since Sasha's adding a new quad. But I don't think Alina's programs are going to look any simpler or less dazzling next to the stunning juniors in my opinion: It surely will be a glorious competition!

Alina with the sweetest little girl
how tall is the guy next to Alina????
Alina always seems so happy posing with the kiddies.
Alina is approx 5'3" - this guy has to be about 7 feet tall????
throwback to this sweet moment at the olympics https://78.media.tumblr.com/b646150c8db99664c4b25785f1aa6274/tumblr_pdwn5wuSP31thu2vbo2_540.gif :luv17:
I even listened to the video from the Olympics without a commentary record - correct. Awesome :thumbsup:Dmitry Guberniev always looks drunk and he really loves microphones.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dziOcjmwrls&t=14s
tbh, I'm not a fan of super-patriotic behavior, but it's amusing scene - organizers have mixed up the Russian anthem, runs out Guberniеv - "we should sing it live, together!!!". Poor athletes exchanged glances and began to sing embarrassedly and deranged - "Russia... is our... sacred state...", and Guberniev was conduct orchestra in the background. Hilarious
He was often mocked at the parody show "Big Difference", like in this episode where he in his unique style watch a chess match on TV, comments mother's borsch, and checks the son's school marks. So, don't worry guys, Zhenya and Alina were safe, it's just style of this dude

I was advised being positive and constructive last night, but I can't say I see myself being negative and destructive. After all, my country has pretty long history being told we are putting things too negatively when we just wanted being ourselves
Just now the maximal level of positivity for me is to remind myself what said general J.-B. Kléber to his soldiers after he read them british-turkish ultimatum (breaking any previous negotiations) before battle of Heliopolis: "Soldiers, there is only one response for such insolence: Victory. Prepare for battle!" And then he totally crushed enemy army six times stronger than was his.
So now I hope Alina will be victorious that way nobody could ever question her status, denying her skills or just having silly comments towards her. I hope this will be taken as constructive and positive![]()
