Alina Zagitova

Ahhh… so I wake up and it’s gone. Did people start arguments?

Actually I wanted to ask you if the moderators informed you why it was disappeared. I guess because of copyrights since it is from current magazine issue and not an article from website. But i would like to know the official explanation.

Oh I was so excited to see a thread in the Edge about Alina, and now I am finding out that it was deleted even before I was able to see it :sad21:

I think this forum needs more of Alina, many skaters have dedicated new threads almost every week, however we see fewer threads about Alina :sad21:

Practices start tomorrow here is the schedule, our girl is the last one in Group 1:

Have a great practice day Alina!!!

Can't believe Rostelecom is almost here. I'm starting to enter the competition mood  You can see fire in my eyes

just wanted to say good luck to Alina for upcoming Rostelcom cup! More than just a clean skate, I wish she has a skate that she feels satisfied about!

I think she will practice at home rink, and this schedule doesn't matter

actually, every ice rink has slightly different 'quality" of ice. It may not be very important for hockey players, but it is very important for figure skaters and they have to practice and adjust to new ice rink and ice.

Honestly, after seeing all the threads bashing Evgenia in her prime, I would not mind if Alina stayed in the limelight in terms of threads on Golden Skate. Having said that, I loved the interview posted on The Edge  . It's nice to see an article devoted to our lovely, fierce Olympic Champion. I do hope she stays off social media though. While the majority of the posts may be positive, even just one negative post can ruin one's mood. I am so glad I grew up before social media became really popular.

I agree about social media, but it seems that many skaters adopt that philosophy during the competitive season. They work, train, practice, focus without the distraction. Maybe a solitary post here and there or a story post to Instagram but they tend to leave it to others until the season is done (or at least their events). Eteri’s camp seems very much into this philosophy and it is a smart one to practice. Social media has gotten very sad since the evolution of Facebook and Instagram/ Snapchat. Very self- centered and thereby people feel free to be rude rather than respectful. Sometimes even just for the stupidity of it. But she has many fans. So while it might be annoying to see some negative comment from some troll on a media post, I pity that poster for the replies he would receive from the legion of her fans. :) Basically any skater with a legion of fans is well protected on social media from trolls and negative comments. :)

yeah, I remember ;)
but at Euro'2018 in Moscow did all local skaters practice together with others?

or it was Rostelecom too?

Realistically, Alina's main competition is herself :)

Even with a few errors she can take the gold here. What's important to me is that she is happy when she leaves the ice, as that's all that matters. Her biggest battle this season is against her mind but I have no doubts that she will conquer all these challenges and come out on top.

You got this Alina!:cheer:

:agree:
lusk8, if you don't know already, you are the gold medalist in the Alina fanfest based on number of posts. :)

Yes, I can!
Now question for you: Do you see the fire in Masaru's eyes?

Less than 36 hours until we see Alina on ice! I am so excited right now :yahoo:

This compliment coming from friendly Masaru is the best that I could ever get.

I’ll group hug you with manner hands zenskate!!!

Kazuki Tomono (from Japan also competing at Rostelecom Cup) posted a picture to his stories showing the ice rink at Megasport Arena.

Ice reconnaissance is already on, the engines are roaring, this will be a great GP.
