I think she is doing it now because off season is too short. You cannot learn quads in that short period propperly. So I quess she is training for her regular triples and after she has extra quads training. They need to have a lot of done to be able to work on in intensively in off season. Also when Daniil was speaking about her quads, he said that she will not jump in now, maybe in the end of the season or in next one. (If I remember well). End of the season or next was is quite close horrizont, so it's definitely not something very new that they work with her on it. Also it's a big deal to say to word that Olympic gold medalist is learning Quads. You don't say it when you are not sure sure she is able to do it. First Daniil and quads L Lo, now another coach with the video of 4F, to me, it seams they take it really seriously. You cannot find a lot od videos of girls doing Quads.

Also she is not tall. Look at man, they are much taller than she is. Yea she is taller than junior girls, but they will grow too probably. :) And Alina seems to me have stronger legs than a lot of girls. Even last year, you just see she has mucles, she is not just fragile girl, her legs stucture give her a big chance to jump big. :)

I don’t think Alina is too big for quads - she isn’t tall and she is slim, with strong legs that are good for jumping.

I agree that she is showing tenacity and courage - not just with attempting the new challenge of quads, but all throughout this season!

I don't think she needs to rebuilt her reputation nor that "everyone thought she is done". We know who only says that. Her reputation was not shaken among her fans and normal people and - the other people will never accept it at all (if they would not do anything new: they will abandon her; when they train 4F: they are abusing her...).

I'm glad seeing Alina in obviously good mood and training with enthusiasm. She won't be stopped just by one failure.

I have to say with so many tough competition, 30 years worth of it, it is amazing to see Alina and Masaru as number 30.

Agreed. I think she's doing great and I'm glad she's willing to have an open mind about trying new jumps and quads but I'd rather see her try 3A wouldn't that be easier?

Hard to compare lady skaters two men skaters cuz men just have something extra such as testosterone. I would say Alina is five to six inches taller than Anna and Alena and Sasha making it much easier for them to do quads 3A etc. Same with Rika it's easier for her to do 3A because she's much shorter than Alina is.
