Alina Zagitova

Most important thing: Alina is happy :) she did well, she just made small mistakes. She is leading so far with a lot of points. Europeans title is hers to win :)

Her consistency was really good in practice and although it wasn't perfect I was so happy to see her fight. She looked proud of herself and happy and that is what is most important because she clearly has the talent to skate well, she just needs the confidence. I am really proud and happy for her.

Not the best skate, but good enough. Alina look quite satisfied so am I too. :luv17: It was good. I quess she lost points mostly for that flip. And I had a little thought that she is maybe slower then usually at the begining? Seems to me very vervous, that first place probably not suit her best. But she did it. Very well. Carmen will shine. :luv17:

(Only our czech comentator don't like her, probably will find another stream for FP )

I'm like the British Eurosport Guys....

What an amazing skater!!! What a presentation!!

Yes she had a little mistake on the 3F landing, but what presence of mind, kept it together and on she went.

I care about flow, the feel of the program, how it looks on the ice when you are watching it and how happy she is when she finishes it. Perfect scores for me, couldn't have asked for better.

Go Alina!!!

I believe she lost points for the LzLo! and not the flip (although she did lose some GOE there) the Lo was called underrotated.

Yea the combo was super pretty in real time but yea she didn't get quite as far up for the loop a she she usually does so she landed just about a quarter short - loved the fight on the flip -

You can try the Romanian Eurosport, (yup I know you need to learn Romanian first ) but here the comentator was very nice towards Alina. He praised her a lot, said that her skating is way more mature, and saw the reason behind the big PCS difference between her and other contenders.

He really showed much respect for her, as the reigning Olympic Champion.

I agree about British Eurosport; they are the best. I always try to watch with their commentary when possible.

Have we got the protocols yet?

Alina seemed a bit slower than usually and she made a mistake on the flip but she‘s still the leader. This medal is hers to lose. If she skates like today in the FS she‘ll win her second Euros gold. I think she can and will do that. :)

Thanks for recomendation. Unfortunatelly, I don't speak Romanian. :ohwell:  Maybe I will look for British Eurosport, I love those guys. That czech lady don't like her since the begining. She give here credit here and there, but overall, she is very strict on her. There are girls who were really weak and she is like "but it was soo mature skating, I like it", and then there is Alina and she is like "gosh that axel was very small", and don't think about the entry at all. I'm a little suspicious that she don't like Eteri at all, also young skaters. (but for some reason she like Sofia, I think she love her coach and that's the reason )

Her 3lz+3lo was underrotated according to protocols. Hoping that she'll go clean in the fs:pray:

Thanks for the video. She did well other than 1 mistake.

I always enjoy the British commentary.

I check it already too. She will do best 3Lz-3Lo in the free. :) She had much nicer jumps in the practice. Maybe going first was not the best for her at the moment, I remember Eteri said she is ready jump properly in training after like half an hour (sth like that), because she still don't have muscle memory, and in competition this is not possible. So definitelly it's better now then It was before, but going first mean make a warm up shorter and be ready. It can be one of the reasons why her jumps was not that huge today. She seems to me more nervous than usually when they was introducing her. But overall she did well, she lost only on that underrotation (I compere her marks with different competition) and a little at pcs for that flip I guess. She is still in lead and I think it's not Sofia, but only Alina herself who can beat her. :)
