Your conversation makes me wonder how much Alina can decide or even suggest as regards her costume and even hairstyle. It's her coach and especially chireographer who choose all this. Alina's only 15 and Eteri is known to be quite authoritarian.

They typically pick one hairstyle and stay with it for several years (see: Zhenya's senior level hairstyles) so maybe that's Eteri's way of saying "focus on the skating, not the hair" is to have them be consistent in style?

The trainers dont care with the hair-style. It is just a phantasie of some guys here.
I remember once topmodel, who had a really funny cut. Blond, curly. Set up as if
she would go to the prom. She was the day before even at the hair stylist. Only
thing she didnt considered: the hair would disturbe her pretty much at during
her program. And after 5 minutes of hair in her eyes, she came off the ice, old
Michin laughed at her and just said: "I told you ...!"
So pretty much discussion about nothing. Even the make-up is set up by their own.

This one is new to me, so thanks! Alina's father is a hockey coach. He seems nice and calm, just like Alina herself.

I guess its crucial event for Alina. She mentioned that after the SP in CoC she talked with Eteri and that helped her a lot for the FS. So her presence may play a confidence boost for her. Also qualifying to GPF will guaranty her keeping or increasing her PCS levels for the upcoming events leading to OG
