No matter how are you fluent in English, and how much you are sure in your Russian while living in USA. If "no ya" sounds for you exactly as "oni" so it's impossible to discuss it with you without violation of forum rules.

I'm a fan of Alina, but even more so, of Evgenia Medvedeva. In my honest opinion, even though her technical content is not as difficult as Alina's (and even thought her lutz is.. kinda problematic), I believe Zhenya remains the best skater we've seen. Her jumps are just glorious and magnificent, her way of skating is like she's flying, and I could go on.

Alina... we always knew she was the only one who could possibly beat Evgenia, and in the beginning of the season most of us thought this would only happen on a very very bad day for Zhenya. I don't think many thought it would really get this close. Alina's PCS somehow just exploded after the GPF (maybe because Zhenya wasn't there, but still). Right now, it seems like Zhenya has no room for errors, and due to her injury... Anything could happen, the Europeans and Olympics will be excruciatingly tense. :tantrum:

In the case if everything went wrong for Evgenia, Alina would win - and even though I would be very sad for Zhenya, I admit a part of me is cheering for Alina as well, I'm kinda torn up (and this is why I'm writing this at her fan fest). The reason why I'd be so happy for Alina is mainly what I see from these videos: she looks like a really kind and humble person with such a huge heart.

I remember Eteri saying that her success in the sport supports her whole family financially, and remember seeing her cry from missing her family because she cannot see them while she's training for weeks on end. :sad21: Imagine being 15, supporting your family at that age and being a top contender for Olympic gold... :drama: I wish every figure skating fan would hear her story. She is so so brave and strong. Stay strong, Alina! :)

I'm Polish and I hear exactly the same thing. Does this convince you?

I like both of them a lot. So I am wondering is there is a chance for two Olympic gold medals and a tie for first place?
In 2002 Winter Olympic Games there was a tie for gold for Figure skating:
Pairs: Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze (RUS) and Jamie Salé and David Pelletier (CAN) both won the gold medal.
Silver medal - not awarded (just as I thought!)
The bronze medal went to Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo (CHN)

I've just been digging through the settings. It seems like I cannot do this...
I see 3 options here:
- I ve been looking in wrong place
- I have some browser problems
- avatar is kind of bonus you can get when being here
long enough / having enough posts... It's not even my
second month here and I wrote (only) 60 posts (61 incl. this
one)

seems like you should be able to do this

just go to Settings -> Edit Avatar. Also should be noted that "profile picture" and "avatar" are different things here.

I know it's flesh-colored mesh, but this costume still makes me uncomfortable when I think about her age. She is a minor, and this feels like sexualizing a child to me. That's not to take anything away from Alina's incredible talent, of course, I just wish they had chosen a different costume for her EX.

The back is fine, even the front; it's the continuation of the back mesh all the way down the hip and leg that really makes it look so inappropriate......

Yes, I agree on that. You can see it well from this picture... I just think that even if it's 'fake nakedness' it's still so inappropriate for her age, she's still a minor and a teenager.
