Alina Zagitova

Alina just did a live Instagram chat, walking in the park around her home. Looking very happy and she had another girl walking with her.

I took some screencaps so you can see her beautiful face

Over 3000 people in the broadcast, Daria joined in the comments and Alina answered one of her questions. She said hi to her friends too.

Couldn't ask for more, a happy Alina, enjoying life. This year is going to be so wonderful for her.

Thank you ) they are in Moscow ?

Ahhhhh, all I did was go take a shower and missed this. :( Thanks so much for the screenshots - you are a gem! I hope the video reappears somewhere. So glad she is looking happy!

Why,she deserved that PCS because of her consistensy on that season she's undefeated coming on the olympics thats why her pcs was boost. Inflation on pcs is expected on an olympic game i guess. Not an expert but that was my observation.
I’m also not an expert but it seems that the judges don’t like to have too much discrepancy between the technical score and PCS? I’m new to the sport but from my inexperienced position I felt like Alina’s PCS was on par or better than Zhenya. There’s this moment in her SP with her arms as the swan before her transition into the jumps that is just perfectly coordinated with the music.

Quite the contrary, he said that no one expected the judging not to be biased against a 15-year-old skater. At least, that's how I understood it from his interview in Russian and his comments in VK - he tries to explain Zhenya's feelings, without trying to give a judgment himself.
The fact that his statement could be interpreted in different ways convinces me how he should've just kept his mouth shut, especially during this time.

What i observe is judges prefer skaters who attempt difficult jumps rather than and artist. Yeah hello to tara lipinski🤣🤣🤣

From Zheleznyakov:

"Zhenya might have felt somewhat offended. As they say: [Alina went] From Rags to Riches. Let me explain. Usually, the girls who've just come up from the juniors don't get this high components. But Alina skyrocketed immediately, hard and fast. It's not Eteri's fault that Zagitova got that high components. The judges should have judged her performance more accurately, by the same standard that they judged others. But the result was what it was and Zhenya got mad at Eteri Georgievna and kept all of it in her. That's how I see it.
Although, I think that Eteri couldn't have done anything in this situation, because Alina rushed forward like a train and was unstoppable. And the judges worked like this... well, what could we do? Yes, the whole world says that Zhenya should have gotten the gold, but Alina got it in the end. There was nothing we could do about it."

I haven't seen anyone in the Olympics that is so far away in artistry than Alina so that to say, ok she should have won because she is so much better that even the technical difficulty and clearance is not enough to overpass it.

What did she say? Is she in holiday?

From teamzagitova instagram: she is finally on vacation and will be going somewhere for a holiday. She is gg to the red square tomorrow.

Will hv to wait for our good folks here who speak Russian to add on!

Hi, I commented yesterday on the Aleksey controversy but included the link on my first post and was banned, so here's the comment

I see this differently. Alina has gotten all the credit and love, and with Evgeniya being almost as good, she is left behind. Now with the Eteri comments she's even worse off. So Alexey gives her a great image to hold onto, also for her new group. They can think of her now as a champion who didn't get it because maybe Alina was so pretty. This way he makes everyone feel good: the Eteri group because it was so harsh this farewell. And Evgeniya because she is a star in Canada. I think Alina understands it and will be ok with it.

Well said. Truth. Difficult programs should always be rewarded more than nice artistry. Both matter but its a sport not an art show.

So much posts everywhere that i can't read even 1% of them. So Zheleznyakov is the main evil now or what?

He is just another sufferer of the "foot in mouth" disease, seems to be going around at the school. Thankfully Alina is imune to that so she is super fine.
