Alina Zagitova

More info, in Japanese, about the Game Show on TV, with that cute picture of Alina and the Akita pup.

They participated in 3 games, Google Translate isn't helping at all, weird translation: anyway, first one involved Alina having to spin on a rotating table, had to complete 20 rotations first to win, Google seems to think this is done in one foot but I have no idea; second one apparently you had to push someone across somewhere for 10m, first one to get there wins; third one, three people had to skate around the outer ring of a skate rink and the team closest to making it around in 100 sec won. The show will be 3 hours long but I don't think their segment will take up the whole show.

I cannot agree more. I recall Adelina said that it was hard to ignore all the hype, the invitations to different events and so on. The fact that Alina is still minor could have also contributed to this more calm approach.
It's nice that she is mostly exposed to the public with an age appropriate topic and something that she really likes: Masaru and Iriska.

Exactly.

For Japanese, google translate really doesn't help at all. You probably need to use Atlas and some kanji analysis tools and try to guess unclear ones by the context.

Give this a try:

You can't take advantage of the kanji analysis tools(Gives around 5-20 different meanings and uses when you hover over anything) but you at least get the Atlas translation which seems somewhat sensible.

edit:

From what I can tell, there will be 3 events. The first one is... some high speed spin competition, second one... human curling? And the third one I'm not sure about. Something about skating for 100 seconds? Also, names mentioned are probably Zagitova, Osmond, Higuchi, Takahiko Kozuka, Javier Fernandez...?

Oh thank you!!! This is the most valuable and helpful tip :thank: - with Japan being such a great country and giving is plenty of Alina goodies we non-Japanese speakers need a way to read the news to enjoy them properly.

Yeah, I remember Yulia at that VIP party. The most cringeworthy thing I've ever seen. Fortunately, Alina has managed to stay out of things like that.

I think that everything turned out well , Russian media ( like all media in a world ) and papparazzi could turn her life into hell ,
as well as attention, parties, celebrities, expensive gifts etc... she passed more or less calmly through post Olympic hype
and remained as kind, sweet ,cute, modest and little bit childish as it was before the Olympics .
her main task she fulfilled - the popularization of sports, figure skating .. thousands of children in Russia and the world
got up from the sofas, put off their phones and tablets and went to the ice rink or engage in other sports to become like Alina

I agree completely. And it seems to me based on what I have read in the comment sections of various articles in the Russian media, that she has even more sincere support from the Russian public as a result of not being showered in adulation immediately after the Olympics. Her modest, unbothered attitude has earned her a lot of respect as well.

Sometimes things happen for the best and unfold the way they are supposed to. Sometimes you just remain calm and make the best out of what's happening and go with it. I believe this is one of those times where both of these factors came into play and benefited Alina in a big way.

Hey, guys, I’m new here, but I wanna ask your opinion. Do you guys think that the new rules against the backloading, +/-5 GOE and difficult jumps with less BV will benefit Zhenya over Alina?
Since Zhenya will train with Orser, I think her technique will improve a lot and at the same time Alina won’t have that much of bonus points for the backloading (if the rule really changes).
Also, Zhenya wins with the PC side all the time. I’m worried about that.
