Alina Zagitova

It's actually very bad haha. For Canadians, it's known as coffee and donuts for meetings where your boss is being very cheap  Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts down south in the states is much better

Well, at least its better than others. I don't usually eat any fast food, but there were few moments when I had no time so I tried Subway/Tim Hortons. Subway is such an utter garbage  Tim Hortons was good as I remember. But it was a while ago, in 2011.

They have gone through many changes since then. There have also been a few recent articles about the changing perceptions of the brand among Canadians. If you ever do come to Toronto again, I'm happy to make some recommendations if you want yummy donuts :)

Alina looks quite happy and excitable at parts. Think not a new video, but anyone can help with what she is saying?

She told how she was met by children at a rink in Izhevsk, everyone was happy, hugged her. In Moscow, training with Eteri, I began to skate better, jump better,
grew morally .. I want to be like Eteri, talk like she does, dressing like her, look like she

Thanks! You are the BEST!

It's from Sochi Open Skates 2017, full version was published first here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kcFUPQhHc8&t=143s&index=303&list=LLEf02Qx1oMh4baoihA0zZgA

the best part is beginning, first pair of Q&A:

Correspondent: You have moved to senior level, how difficult is it?
Alina: As to difficulty it's not a big deal, the only hard thing is prepare myself mentally in proper way.

Thanks for translating! As for the last part, i hope she doesn't try to change who she is. She has such a sweet and humble way of talking as well as her appearance and demeanour. You do you, Alina!

Wow - that was a big jump in followers. She is actually is #5 ranked on figure skating instagrams

Also - I am quoting this poster from the "State of Russian Ladies" thread.... (I hope this is OK to do)
Misha Ge had set up a mini obstacle course thingy - there are 3 little vids included - as can be seen it is not that easy!

That is such a great video find!! And it gives me a little perspective on how amazing Alina's accomplishment really was, I'll excuse Hanyu because he was hurt during the Olympics, this was not easy or second nature to figure skaters at all.

Alina dresses herself really "conservatively". I mean compared to the outfits Eteri invents for her.

Alina really does dress very 'age appropriately'. The black dress that she wore to the inauguration belonged to Diana Davis (Eteri's daughter). She either gave it to Alina or loaned it to her for the occasion.

Honestly, Alina is so strikingly pretty that keeping it simple is the right idea. She doesn't need to 'gild the lily'.

Although I kind of hope she got to keep the dress she wore for the cover of the Japanese magazine. That was gorgeous!

Diana dress ??

I start thinking that she does not really care about her wardrobe, it seems that the clothes do not really interest her, in the Dominicana she is now dressed just like last year! T-shirt, shorts, even slippers - everything is like in the past year, the same clothes :)

Oh! Did she mention that? She must be quite a thrifty girl. She also wore the same clothes for a couple of vacations.

I hope so too. She looks so gorgeous, maybe just a tad mature; she is growing up so fast!

Maybe it's just she does not want to have two sets of wardrobe for Izhevsk and Moscow (where she has only limited storage space, after all) :)

You do know that that isn't the real Hanyu, but an impersonator, don't you? If you watched the whole video or read about the show, you'd realize that.

Speaking of lusk8's behalf, I thought it was him too, till there was a comment here clarifying it was only a double :o:

Of course I know that, but what I was talking about isn’t that. If you look at any of my posts from other pages instead of being rude without looking for context you would know that.

I was talking about Alina doing that and the comparison with a Misha Ge video of a similar action during the Olympics where you can see the real Hanyu playing at doing something similar.
