Alina Zagitova

I think that was from an interview not from the press conference, and it was obviously like a joke not to get into her head and to lose focus.

No. There was a clampdown on talking up Alina. Zhenya was treated like the gold medalist and Alina the silver medalist. It kind of made me go hmmmm. They are both great without ?. But only 1 was golden in PC and that was Alina. I am hoping she has great motivation for the next quad because the competition will get stronger. Much stronger.

Do you have a source for the “clampdown.” Not doubting you, many other people mention it, just wondering where it originated.

And....we have a proposal on the table for the congress to vote:

None of this will affect Alina as she’ll be grandfathered into seniors no matter what.

+100 for this comment

Because they didn't take into consideration that there will twice more juniors. But there only 2 (!!!) spots on each JGP and only 3 for Championships. Juniors will "kill" each other even before 17 years old

Guys....guys...guys...exciting news (and predicted by some of our amazing ff peeps).

Masaru’s presentation to Alina in Moscow has just risen to World Summit level event.

Japanese Prime Minister Abe himself will give Masaru to Alina on May 26th and President Putin will also attend the event (possibly his own Akita dog too).

Here are the fresh news from Japan: http://news.tv-asahi.co.jp/sphone/news_politics/articles/000127316.html

Ok, seriously, can this get any bigger! If we needed any further proof of Alina’s standings in Russia (and Japan) we now have it.

At this pace they’ll eclipse Megan and Harry.

That's...cool :yahoo:

The presence of Putin can close many dirty mouths and help to Eteri as well

Oh yeah!!! I agree with you. This will be such a huge deal, two heads of State + Alina & Masaru.

I vote for commemorative tea cups with Alina & Masaru's faces and monograms of their names, with silver spoon versions of this whole set up to go with it.

This might be my favorite idea ever!!!!!

Alina is doing a live streaming in Instagram!

Internet there runs on coals....video pausing a lot. But it was great to see her drawing a heart in the sand with her foot, seeing Sabina, the sea and I think she finally figured out a way to keep the scroll of comments from showing up on the live stream. That's good, that way she can see the messages from her friends and others can't.

She also deleted a bunch of posts from her Instagram feed, cleaning up time, good for her.
