Alina Zagitova

Now ,I'm sure that you are the best lawyer in Prague, if with me in Prague something happens - I'll look for you

Being best of best, my services are way too expensive (you know, it's not about cupidity, it's about the reputation ), but I can offer some discout for Alina's fans ;)

So now I hope Alina will be victorious that way nobody could ever question her status, denying her skills or just having silly comments towards her. I hope this will be taken as constructive and positive

Sadly, experience shows that success is exactly what breeds that type of comments. That's pretty universal in figure skating and probably in most if not all sports. The only super succesful skaters who this doesn't apply to are the ones who have reached the "legendary" status. Until then it's snide remarks and excessive scrutiny all the way.

I don't expect people to be less nasty towards Alina if she wins this season too. Being #1 brings even more hate. Let's just make sure she receives even more love.

And i'm seeing that some of the other girls are already in Moscow for the test skates. It's getting close :hap93:

Do you know around what time the test skates will take place on Sunday and if there will be stream or most likely we will have to wait till after the Event for some fan made videos?

Are media cameras allowed inside test skates to record the events?

Yes, for the FS we will probably get some videos since it‘s open to the public. No idea about the SP, though.
I am a bit anxious about the SP after The Ice. Hope Danill took in the reviews seriously. As for seeing the FS twice before GP, bring it on. I love Carmen.

I cross my fingers the music cuts of Carmen make sense at least. @ Daniil please no unnecessary sound effects :noshake: Also please no vocals (i have been traumatized by Daleman's Carmen vocals and now i have to suffer through it for another season:drama:).

Actually, I'm kind of like this video  tbh, I'm not a fan of super-patriotic behavior, but it's amusing scene - organizers have mixed up the Russian anthem, runs out Guberniеv - "we should sing it live, together!!!". Poor athletes exchanged glances and began to sing embarrassedly and deranged - "Russia... is our... sacred state...", and Guberniev was conduct orchestra in the background. Hilarious

He's not drunk, this dude kind of a meme  He was often mocked at the parody show "Big Difference", like in this episode where he in his unique style watch a chess match on TV, comments mother's borsch, and checks the son's school marks. So, don't worry guys, Zhenya and Alina were safe, it's just style of this dude :)

The more I see of him, the more I am starting to love him. We should all be this enthusiastic and over-the-top about the things we love! :party2:

He definitely brings the fun! :cheer:

In the immortal words of Taylor Swift - people throw rocks at things that shine.

In the immortal words of someone else - *@%& the haters

Seeing some of these posts is bringing back my memories of the Olympics.
After Alina beat Zhenya at the EC in January, it became obvious that there is a real chance of her winning Olympic gold as well. And yet, when she did win, everybody in the Russian FS community acted shellshocked, like they couldn't believe it. I still don't understand why

I had a nightmare a few weeks ago where Alina had a half white half black dress for POTO and i'll be pissed if it comes true. I hope it wasn't a premonitory vision :laugh2::unsure:

I will officially be pissed at you if your premonitory vision brings something like this to our poor eyes. Don‘t you dare! :laugh2:

Zhenya made a mistake at Euros, wasn‘t looking her best, not skating clean and coming back from an injury while Alina was absolutely perfect. I guess people just didn‘t expect this to happen again because Zhenya is known for her consistency whereas Alina made multiple mistakes in the GP series so they kind of didn‘t expect her to bring two flawless performances again. And there‘s still the thing with the PCS and whatever. Zhenya was their queen for 2 seasons, twice World champion in a row and all that while Alina was coming straight from juniors. It‘s just to be expected. I was surprised by her win, too. So, while I think it‘s understandable and natural that the Russians were surprised by her win, they could have reacted a bit... better to it. In the end Alina is an athlete who gave two almost flawless performances and won the first gold for their country, not someone who sneaked in and stole Zhenya‘s medal.

Worst than that is a half black half white half red... I just hope Olga/Eteri choose to go for the Christine Daae look, a romantic one

Guys, do we have any information about Alina not going to Novogorsk for the SP? I saw this in the other thread but I don’t if it’s true or just rumors at this point...
