I just watch a few videos from today and: this program is stunning, I think it's really suits her well, for me this is good program for Olympic Champion. I was a little bit woried but this Carmen is as much original as Carmen should be, so nice surprice. I have no worries about her cause as we saw with POTO - she improve a lot since she show the program for the first time at The Ice, I'm sure it will be the same with this program. In this view I think it's really good decision to go to Nepela Trophy. I can't wait to see this program with the right dress. One day she execute it everyone will be frozen in amazement .. I'm actually big fan of her DQ, but I love this program more then DQ even I saw that only in this version, with training clothes and falls.
I think there must be really bad/hard athmosphere cause I saw video from the warm up and both Alina and Zhenya look just fabulous, their jumps was huge, stunning. And in program, Alina fall twice + one step up, Zhenya 1 fall + once I think step up too or she was at least very unsure with the landing .. I did not watch other girls but I read somewhere that there was a lot of falls ... It does not look just like accident ..

TAT can be really horrid when she's biased. I really hope that Rusfed has something better to do than listen to her. She's dangerous for that sport in Russia. Really, because she's the one who praised Konstantinova to heaven that Rusfed gave her two precious spots that could have boosted the career of far more deservely girls.

No, don‘t think so. She was jumping 3Lz-3T in practice. And she can‘t do two 3Lz-3Lo combos because she‘s already repeating 3F and 3Lz.
The way she said it wasn't so good, IMO. This reminds me of how she yelled "Zhenya, come back! We miss you!" during Alina's performance at the WC.

TAT is a horrible woman. She is a extremely! I wished someone would call her on it. How about the fact that Zhenya needs to work on her lutz or the fact that her FP is not much of FP.

Nothing to do, she has a huge, gigantic influence in figure skating in Russia, she is in the USSR and Russia team since 1967, her students won more than 40 gold medals at the Olympics and World Championships, and her father was coach of the USSR national hockey team. Overall today it was a difficult day for all the Russian ladies, I guess. But like many of you pointed out, the atmosphere at the Megasport Arena was visibly euphoric and nervous, comparable to the bigger competition stages. Many are there to prove something to the figure skating world. Alina wants to show she won't be another Adelina, that she is capable of showing her Olympic glamourous skating for years to come. And I am sure she will do her best, I see her as a tough rival. She was crying today, hiding in the corner and Daniil comforting her but she had even more difficult moments and she managed to overcome them! She used to be the weakest in Team Tutberidze, now she is the OGM. She had the Cup of China weak SP perfomance, now the Black Swan is the record-holding SP staying in history forever. She had the bad Worlds skate followed by many great ones in Japan and Korea with which she won the hearts of thousands. She can rule this season, I strongly believe!
Her Carmen was nice, I expected an unexpected music cut but I was unexpectedly surprised Carmen was nice and there are some great moments that could be really powerful when she is totally on.
Once again, my favourite moment from today is the Charlotte-2A. Just superb. She can turn it into a trademark move just like 3Lz-3Lo and the rippon 3F.
During the warm-up it was so tense. Alina jumped perfectly, Evgenia was always around, jumping as well, the other girls also landing jumps, only a dramatic piece of music was missing to complete this picture that could be part of a Hollywood figure skating drama movie about the war among the Russian ladies.

I saw that. The atmosphere was so tense i'm not surprised everybody made mistakes. I was watching the practice feeling like i was going to faint from the stress and it's not even competitive season yet I agree with you on the fact that Carmen is a program that can be really beautiful once she makes it her own. I was so scared i'd hate it from the beginning since i'm such a huge Carmen hater but it actually shows potential. She usually improves as the season goes too! By the end of the season her Carmengitova transformation will be complete and spectacular. I believe it :cool14:Similar threads
