Alina Zagitova

Guys, let's play a drinking game. Every time she lands a jump we take a drink.

I expect us to be very drunk by mid afternoon (her time), late morning (my time).

Come on guys :D Let's cheer for her in some better way. Drunk fans are not good fans :D

BTW I'm so nervous for her too :D wish she land everything and show everyone who is the boss in the rink!

I agree) I have not had alcohol for a long time, so I'll drink Coca Cola :)

Speaking of being weak though. Do you guys ever notice how when you get nervous watching a skater perform is when you start to really care for them and sincerely root for them?

Exactly my thoughts, I guess it depends on your personality, but for me, when I see a skater that I really like, I always get nervous. It's not the fact that I don't trust them, and maybe it's just overthinking, but watching this skater, you know how much he worked and all the difficulties he had to surpass to be at that specific level. So you really wish for him to do well, to show his best.

And ofc after the competitions I watch and re-watch all these performances, without my adrenaline on a dangerous level.

This will be my favourite drinking game. And I'm sure we're gonna be very drunk, because Alinka is gonna rock this competition

Ok, you won me over....I'll eat 20 M&Ms each time she lands a jump. Now I need to stock up on the king size packages.

Like I remember nonchalantly watching Alina at the Cup of China last year, thinking wow she's pretty good. And now I have to calm myself through elaborate rituals before daring to turn on that TV. (Maybe I just have an unusually feeble mind ;) )
i feel the same as you. Last year at the beginning of the season i too was watching Alina very casually, found her really talented and daring but that was about it. I ended up being very attached to her as the season went by now i'm like a big sister who worries too much about her younger sibling she sent to study abroad in Russia or something :laugh2: I feel like that about Rika Kihira too and recently Alena Kostornaia. Which is a good thing cause the last time i was that attached to a female skater was years ago with Yuna & Mao. I became quite bored with the female field in the recent years but here i am adopting too many kids :drama: it makes things stressful but also more exciting.

I can't wait to see what beautiful dresses Olga has created for our Carmengitova.

Tatyana Flade said in IG — Alina arrival tomorrow.. I hope everything is ok :slink:

Competition starts the day after so....

Sad part about Daniil not being there, we won't get tons of cute videos and photos.

But oh well, can't have everything, right?

I want to see Eteri reaction, sometimes I'm afraid of her myself

Just checked...Moscow is 1h ahead of Oberstdorf (you can bet I ctrl+c, crtl+ved that name here).

Not a big "jet leg" for Alina, that's good.

Yes, but it’s a long trip, from Moscow to Munich or Zurich , and 3 hours by train to Oberstdorf
