Well, it seems that I am not the only one who have that picture of TAT clearly sour grapes face expression after Alina's SP at test skates still in vivid memories (not to mention her talks after OG "we just love Zhenya more" and all). I would like to believe in TAT's honesty now, but I just don't. That is not negativity, that is realism.

Yeah, well, TAT is... TAT. We all know that. But if she's finally saying something good about Alina then we should be "Omg, she's said something that made sense. Mark that day in your calendar!" rather than: "But about Zhenya she said nicer words. *grumble* *grumble*" TAT is biased as heck, everyone is aware of that, so if she leaves Alina alone, I'm fine with her. And if she says something nice about her, I'm even pleasantly surprised. She doesn't need to be genuine when she says it, I don't care about that. Why would I anyway? She just shouldn't badmouth Alina and then I'll let her live peacefully.

I would like to advise you on a good job !! You can become a good intermediary in negotiations with maniacs, terrorists and psychos (this does not apply to forum participants )

This is an... unusual advice but thanks. Even though I probably prefer something a bit less... dangerous. Handling terrorists doesn't seem like the easiest job in the world.

Why not compare? Because it's unnecessary. It makes us feel bad again when something good happened: Alina skated cleanly, got a new WR, was happy, TAT praised her. Who cares whether TAT is inconsistent with her statements? We all knew that before, it's not like that's some ground breaking news. No, I don't agree with her. No, I'm not happy that she's having favourites and being biased.

But I just don't see the point in bringing Evgenia in here again when this fanfest is CLEARLY for Alina Zagitova only. I'd prefer to cheer for Alina, for her wonderful skate, for overcoming her nerves, for all that. Why can't we just be happy for once? That's what I just don't understand...

I think we are happy, so happy that we don't need the words of a biased and vicious woman as Tarasova to celebrate. Just because she praised Alina, it doesn't mean I have to accept it and be happy.

When exactly is she skating tomorrow? I wonder whether I'll be able to watch it live. Today I didn't jinx her so hopefully it will be the same for tomorrow. But I don't know whether my poor nerves will stand watching a whole FS. I was so nervous already when it was just the short program.

I agree that I SOULD be thankful for her nice words, but... Somehow when I can't believe the person speaks from her heart, I can't feel delight. It's probably my fault...

About that Ed's job proposal. As I've said once, I studied police academy so I had some trainings in negotiations, you can ask for advice if necessary

It was nice to see her come out and skate clean to start her season (and posting a huge score). I liked the SP after seeing it in competition. Her dress is nice as well. Good luck in FS, Alina.

I'm not on twitter but from what I've heard from people here it's flooded by negativity. I never heard that Yuzu's fans hated Alina, though... Maybe some but I know a lot of people who love Yuzu and love Alina, too. (including me... )

I'm not delighted by TAT's words. I'm actually pretty indifferent about her. She says something good about Alina: Nice and surprising but nothing to be extremely happy about. Just something positive to note, that Alina even managed to make TAT say something nice about her, whether she wanted to or not. If she says something bad however: :dev2:

So am I... I love both. I've never expected such negative comments from Hanyu's fans, unlike them Yuzuru is always respectful.

Really? Like... REALLY? Autumn Classics always scored harsher... and it's different events, different categories (men and ladies skating) and everyone got good scores in this competition here. Also, why wouldn't Alina get high PCS? She has improved a lot performance wise, she looks elegant and skates beautifully, has difficult transitions... what's there not to love (aside from those music cuts.... ) And her jumps were on point and we know that they can influence a score greatly, not only in TES but also PCS. But that's just twitter probably like you said. Something to laugh about and not take seriously.

I'm not going to start a fight but say very calmly here: Yes, I read what TAT said - though not the direct quote but a translation a user thankfully provided here - and yes, this time, I agree with her. Alina's 3Lz-3Lo combo was wonderful, nice, big, securely landed. Axel and flip were a bit shaky but like she said - a minority, nothing to worry about at all. Alina has things to work on and she can and will since this is only the start of the season. I'm no fan of TAT and she has a reputation of saying bs but this time her comment was accurate - whether her intentions were good as well, that I can't say. I couldn't see any undeserved criticism in her comment. But I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this point here and move on.
