Alina Zagitova

There are no different levels on the Choreo Seqeuence because there are no requirements a skater has to fullfill. So it is automatically ChSq1 and GOE make the difference only.

But why 1? Isn't there only one choreo sequence anyway?

That Canadian judge probably got scolded yesterday after the SP, because today she was not as stingy with points as yesterday 😂 She suddenly gave Alina and the other girls higher PCs and GOEs.

Wow! Apparently everyone improved their skating overnight! Must be something in the air! :rolleye:

Get it together Canadian Judge! :frown:

And we have seen her train 3F-3Lo so she can add this combo if the Lutz landing is shaky or she falls. If she has 3Lz-3Lo in front and it doesn't work out she would need to do 3Lz-3Lo instead of 3Lz-3T and add the 3T to the 3F or do the 3Lz-3T as planned but add the Loop onto the flip. Sounds a lot more complicated. 3Lz-3T seems very easy for her so like you said, she probably won't miss it too much. Really, as much as I dislike Eteri sometimes... nobody beats her and her team in terms of strategy.

and she also has solo 2A after the first combo. And if 3lz3T doesn't work out she can add the 3T to the 2A.

We need to make a forecast today, what do you think about Alina max scores for LP by the end of the season ?
My 175,5 :agree:

I think I might be just as glad that Zhenya moved to Orser for her own sake as I am for Alina's. I've never seen her so happy in a kiss and cry with Eteri. No more conflicting loyalties!

I am bringing this over from the Russian Ladies Thread. Thank you so much moriel for compiling this! I think it is worth reposting in Alina's fan fest -

"Some dummy statistics. The medal each OGM won on the first international competition of the season right after the Olympics
2018 Zagitova - gold at Nebelhorn
2014 Sotnikova - skipped the season
2010 Yuna Kim - silver at worlds next year
2006 Shizuka Arakawa - ended the competitive career
2002 Sarah Hughes - 6th at worlds next year
1998 Tara Lipinski - ended the competitive career
1994 Oksana Baiul - ended the competitive career
1992 Kristi Yamaguchi - ended the competitive career (won gold on the professional cirquit though)
1988 Katarina Witt - skipped next season
1984 Katarina Witt - won gold at euros next year "

This was my response - Our girl just did something that no other ladies skater has been able to do (or was willing to attempt) since Witt in 1984 (1985?) And she did it with Carmen. And she did it under unbelievable pressure. So proud right now!

Not that you can compare Nebelhorn with Worlds, but still!

Yea it's better for Alina as she could be more happy and not sorry for Zhenya anymore ..nobody is saying Eteri want to Zhenya win .. also it could be better for Zhenya, she look happy too ..

I am so happy and can't stop smiling! I was too weak to watch it live, and went to the competition forum immediately after her skate to see the scores. My garmin tells me that my heart rate was through the roof at that moment! :)

I watched her skate now and can tell that it was very good - beautiful, energetic, interesting. Thank you, Alina! :)

If you look at their interaction in season 15/16, 16/17, it was pretty good and nice between them. It is true however that the situation when both Alina and Zhenya were absolute top was not easy one for anybody of those three.

I'd like to see Alina end up having something else in common with Katarina Witt....

That would be my fondest hope for her. It would be nice to see her have the chance to genuinely celebrate an Olympic Victory AND be celebrated for her victory by the skating elite of her own country!

BUT, coming back down to earth, I will also be happy for her to have a good season, enjoy her skating, improve as time goes on, stay healthy and kill it at Worlds.

Right now, I'm just going to enjoy this lovely gold medal moment at Nebelhorn. This victory means a lot.
