Alina Zagitova

Thank you a billion times my friends for the pictures and the videos.

I watched her FS run through on an instagram live done by Team Zagitova, it was great to get to watch it again. She added an extra jump at the end of both her 3-3 passes (a 3Lo but it got doubled on the 3Lz-3T pass). I think she is making it harder so than it gets to be easier when done in competition. It's a smart move.

She looked solid, great stamina and very focused, she only left the ice as the second group was already getting in.

I liked seeing her smile at the end, she looked relaxed and happy. Below is a fan video of a TV interview, we can't hear the sound but just by looking at Alina I can tell she feels great.

Thanks! I hope she does well tomorrow. Go, Alina! [emoji1320]

Woah, someone came really close to her near the end.

Why does she (and many others) often skip one part of the run-through? Is it the “easier” segment where they don’t need more practice and to prevent over-exertion? Tot there would be more familiarity if they did the whole run.

Since everyone does it I think it's more of a "practice before competition mode" you get in the stuff you want to double check or get more mileage on and where you feel more confident you just skip it.

I always see the jumps and some people do some spins, choreo and steps are usually left out to some extent.

So, I finally had time to read Alina‘s interview again and I have to say how proud I’m of her. What a strong girl, what dedicatio and determination! Wow. To keep going after basically fulfilling her biggest dream at such a young age is truly admirable. Others would have taken the medal and the money and run to do shows or adverts. Not her! Apparently she has something that keeps her going - a secret. That‘s good, Alina, may it give you more motivation in the seasons to come! You‘re an incredible talented and wonderful girl. :)

I kinda want her to stop being on social media altogether, at least while competing or maybe just not read what‘s being posted about her. I know it’s interesting and tempting, especially for young people and I seriously do not know whether I‘d be able to restrain from reading what‘s being written about me if I was in her position. It can do a lot of harm, though and that‘s why I‘m worried. Young, successful women like Alina and Evgenia... they‘re practically magnets for hate. And while they‘re undoubtedly incredibly tough, having to read such things probably still upsets them.

It‘s great to see Alina do so well at practice. She looks as fit as ever. Maybe a bit tired but honestly, it‘s so understandable given the current circumstances. It must be tough especially for Eteri and for Alina too. It‘s incredible that they even manage with everything that‘s going on right now.

That being said: I know I always was like: “Oh, I‘m sure Alina will win gold again! I‘m sure Alina will be absolutely perfect!“ and I realised that it might give the wrong impression, that I can only be happy for her when she‘s flawless. That‘s not true, though. I‘m happy when she‘s happy and the thing is - Alina is such a perfectionist she can only be proud and happy when she gives clean skates... I want to see her smile in the K&C and beam proudly after a performance. That‘s why I want her to be perfect! And I have faith in her - especially after seeing the practice video - that she will be. :)

Realistically, Alina's main competition is herself :)

Even with a few errors she can take the gold here. What's important to me is that she is happy when she leaves the ice, as that's all that matters. Her biggest battle this season is against her mind but I have no doubts that she will conquer all these challenges and come out on top.

You got this Alina!:cheer:

I suppose Alinas main competition is herself.

By the way are you related to theballerina?

Unfortunately no, because theballerina seems nice and I think we made both of our usernames with Alina in mind. My little cousin who is into figure skating and likes Alina wanted me to make my username “Alinaisthemostprettyballerinaintheworld” but I thought it was a tad too long :)

OMG I try to post so nice post about Alina like 10 times, all words are correct and it's impossible to send it, because GS somehow block any of my word as a censured one? Come on? ..

So I just hope Alina will shine tomorrow, it can be huge confident buster for her. It's probably very very importand competition for her as it is in Moscow. I know she feel it, she wanna prove everybody she deserve and show them the best skate, she is very sensitive girl. So I pray for her the best skate she can delivered. I just wanna see her smile and happy face on the ice after her performance and in Kiss & Cry. :)

Now question for you: Do you see the fire in Masaru's eyes?
Less than 36 hours until we see Alina on ice! I am so excited right now :yahoo:

Totally, my friend (I love this photo btw :luv17:) I can see the fire of love, appreciation and respect in Masaru's eyes :luv17: She grew up a lot now and I see her as Alina's protector, I just imagine the "fire in her eyes " when someone messes with her (and our) beloved Alina :luv17:

Wow now this is true motivation! What more can I say about Alina...Did I have some problems with my 3Lz-3Lo combo last competition? No problem, I will add a third jump (ofc the hard 3Lo) at the end of each jump combo in practice, so in competition everything will be easier.

She's just amazing, an example of hardwork and dedication :clapper:

First time when I read a comment of yours and I saw your username this was exactly what I had in my mind "I love your username, and I am sure we will get along very well"

We can say that we are related due to an unbreakable bond, the one of loving and appreciating Alina, we and many other posters from this amazing fanfest :ghug:
