Alina Zagitova

Beautifully said, my friend. :luv17:

I just want to see her always happy, always enjoying what she's doing. And the fact that she's seen now as "the underdog" in this final is laughable  Yes sure, the skater who dominated last season, the reigning Olympic Champion, who started the new season so strong by winning every single competition she took part in, ambitious and determined, is the underdog. I like the new-coming skaters, but they still need to prove themselves under this huge competition pressure. Alina already did it. And more than once.

But sure, if others (under huge subjectivity) want to say that she's the underdog, that's just fine. She was always seen like this, and this wrong judgment was like a pedestal for her. She climbed on top of it and conquered the world from here. :luv17:

I love what you said and how you said it!!

Perfect!!

Thank you!!

There is a recent documentary on Sambo, mostly focusing on Sasha and Anna, but Alina appeared in it briefly. You can find the video and translation here

I'm interested in the part concerning Alina.

Looking at a day in these skaters' lives - first they start with a ballet lesson, to help them skate better and more beautifully. Boys and girls practice together. Next, a workout to build muscle and strengthen jumps. Finally, they head to the rink, and begin by practicing 30 minutes of basic skills. Zagitova also joins them for this practice. At last, after skating practice, they practice jumping. In one day, they practice for as much as 8 hours.

It sounds like Alina doesn't train with the 3A most of the time.

I saw that, someone tagged Alina on the YouTube post and I thought it had the bit with Masaru they were filming. It doesn’t, at least not yet, sounds like there will be another one maybe with more Alina. This one had very little on Alina.

I bet Alina trains more with the other seniors, Elizabet, Moris, Erokov (speaking of which he has been MIA for the longest time with his injury).

Since they have two senior ladies I guess they do more stuff together and join the others more for group practices, doing specific things separately.

They have 2 groups of skaters based on competences and not on age.

(sorry zenskate and EdRoz!) this is a very good interview with Zhenya, where (amongst other things) she talks about Alina
https://rsport.ria.ru/interview/20181126/1146551287.html

I have no conflict with Alina. I said million times that I saw how hard she worked. I've never seen a person working so hard. It was difficult time, it was a lot of work, which took our resources, nerves, health. For both of us. I deeply respect her as an athlete, as after such difficult Olympic year she maintains her status, and it is worth a lot. I just imagine that she works twice as hard now, and it is very difficult, to work harder than Alina did in the Olympic year.

Thank you. Good interview where Alina was prominently mentioned.

Fun fact, so I wanted to check out Alina’s IdF win victory ceremony from last year just to see her happy face on that crazy disco podium looking at the French gif flags blowing in the fake wind (she was so happy there).

And.....bonus...right at the start of this video I see who.....who....our friend Joe Security trying to stop Alina from moving over some line.

This time he succeeded, I guess because it was the medal ceremony.

Joe my pal, a year passed and you never learned, nothing can stop our Alina.

We certainly do!!

He does look like Mr Bean.

I wonder if he’ll be at the GP Final, that could be Alina’s chance to untie this score.

Alina Houdini we are counting on you!! Run Alina, run!!!

By the way, I do not know when we fly to Canada. I have such a tradition: I never know neither the time of departure, nor the date - even the day before departure to the competitions. Its calms me down, ”said Zagitova. :scratch2:

Alina , please dont forget about visa , parents permission , skates and dresses
